What the gurus are saying

Gurus overwhelmingly praise this oil for being lightweight enough for fine hair, a rarity among silicone formulas that typically weigh strands down. The scent and noticeable improvement in shine and manageability earn consistent love. The main complaint is the dispenser: the small opening forces excessive shaking and splattering. Price is mentioned as high but justified by performance.

"I got to say the Virtue Healing Oil. Since discovering the Virtue Healing Oil, I actually completely forgot about the Orbe one because what I like so much about the Virtue Healing Oil is, you know, I have pretty fine textured hair, like my individual strands are pretty fine and so a lot of hair products weigh it down and I almost never put things like that up here on the crown. Well, the Virtue Healing Oil I definitely can use up there."

"It's got keratin technology that really helps basically straighten the hair, but it's lightweight enough that it doesn't make the hair look greasy. It smells really good. My main issue with it is that it takes a while to get the product out of the bottle because it's got this small little hole and so I find that you have to shake shake shake. It's kind of easy for it to splatter all over the place as you're trying to do that. So that would be my one complaint with it. But I am now on my third bottle of this stuff. I love it. The way I use it is after I get out of the shower, I towel dry my hair with a microfiber towel, and then I just put it all the way from the crown down to the ends of my hair and then I comb it through with a wide tooth comb, and the next morning it's great. Alternatively, you can put it on dry hair, too. I've been surprised how well it goes on dry hair because I've noticed that with fine hair, silicone hair oils, if you put them on the hair dry, they're a lot more likely to make it look greasy, but that's not the case with the Virtue Healing Oil."

"I repurchased the Virtue Healing Oil. This is a new holy grail for me. I just finished the first bottle of this and I bought the second one myself. What this is is a silicone-based hair oil, and if you have fine hair, this is wonderful because a lot of silicone-based hair oils are amazing, but they weigh down the hair and you have to be real careful with how much you apply and get it combed through really well. This is super light, very light. My gripe with it though is that the opening, the little hole when you dispense, is very small. So you get these tiny tiny little droplets, so you're like shake, shake, shake, shake, shake. Kind of splatters around. I don't like that. But I bought it again. I put it on mostly at night on my scalp and throughout the length of my hair."

"This healing oil I tried out last night for the first time from Virtue. I really like the scent. My hair today was not greasy. I felt like I was pretty heavy-handed in my application of it last night, and I did not wake up with greasy hair."

"I've been using this Virtue Healing Oil for 1 week now on my hair and I actually really like it. It's expensive though. It is a hair oil with silicones in it, which I like because they help to reduce frizz, improve manageability, and shine. It's not cheap, but it's also not like the most expensive either. And it smells good. In contrast to the Paul Mitchell one I was previously using, this is significantly lighter. So it does not weigh down the hair. You had to really be precise with not applying too much of that and really combing it through with the other one. This does not weigh down the hair at all. And sometimes in the morning, I've been putting it on my hair dry, too. And it's been great. Not greasy at all."

"I have used this along with that Virtue Healing Oil. No problem. I've also used it alongside the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Hair Serum. And of course, I've used it by itself, too, and it performs well in all conditions without making my hair look greasy or heavy."

"This is the Virtue Healing Oil. So, this is a silicone oil, which has worked out really well for me as someone with fine hair. I love a good silicone hair oil, but they can weigh down the hair and make it look greasy, especially if you have fine hair. That one has worked out really well. It's not heavy. It doesn't weigh down the hair, but it imparts a nice gloss, shine, ease, and manageability, and ultimately helps to cut down on breakage of those little fine baby hairs. So, I have really enjoyed that. It is a pricier product, but it's amazing."

"I find that Virtue Healing Oil is amazing because it doesn't weigh down my hair at all. It's really good, really light. Like, when you're putting it on, you're like, am I really even putting anything on? Over time, you do notice an improvement in manageability with using that."

"I have continued to use the Virtue Healing Oil which I swear by. That thing is a product that as far as I'm concerned it's going to be a staple from here on out. I've gone through multiple bottles. What I do is I put it on my hair after I get out of the shower. I towel dry the hair in the microfiber towel so the majority of the water is out. And then I just put some actually up here where you get all those little flyaways. I put it from here to about the level of my ear."

"My hands down favorite hair oil is the Virtue Healing Oil. I have tried so many other hair oils and the reason I like this one so much is that it feels incredibly lightweight on my hair. I think one of the most annoying things is when you go to put hair oil in and your hair's looking pretty good and you're just trying to refresh it and then your hair comes out looking greasier and worse than it did before and I have never had that issue with the Virtue Healing Oil."

"One of my favorite healing oils of all time is the Virtue Healing Oil. I love this one so much because it's very lightweight and if you have fine hair and you're worried about hair oils making your hair look greasy or heavy, this doesn't do that. Plus it has this really nice light coconut scent which to me is just so beachy and heavenly."
