So once you open it you do want to use it up within two months versus the skin suiticles where once you open you want to use it up within six months. So it has a little bit longer time. I believe with the price point if you're going through two bottles every month it kind of is similar to the skin suiticles but this is another great alternative that you can consider for those with normal to oily skin."

"Vichy has ascorbic acid, vitamin E, and this is a nice French brand that I've been using for a long time. They used to have those glass vials, those ampules that you would break off quite dangerous, and so they got rid of those and now they have ones in a dropper bottle or even one in this like plastic tip applicator. I can't find that product right now but I feel like that one has been giving me trouble, it has been if I have it tilted to the side it does leak quite readily so be careful with that one. This is their newest one, 16% ascorbic acid, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, and the dropper looks just like that. My critique is you got to squeeze the plastic applicator to get the drops out, it gets a little messy for me. This is their newest one, I'm looking forward to trying this out but this could be a nice potential gift idea here, the new Lift Active Vitamin C Serum by Vichy if you want something in between those two."

"This is the Vichy LiftActiv, and this is a vitamin C serum that I've been using since 2020. Really great brand, makes great retinols. This has been so nice. It's 15% ferulic acid and vitamin E, so it's comparable to more expensive options, but this is only 30 to 35 bucks, so it's a very affordable option that I've been using quite a bit. "In terms of drugstore sunscreens, one of my favorites is the Vichy Vitamin C serum."

"15% vitamin C is quite high so it's a good concentration that you can get over the counter, it's very similar to even some of the medical grade stuff. You've got vitamin E and pure hyaluronic acid in there, so vitamin E will act as a very good barrier protection. Whilst you have the vitamin C as an antioxidant layer, it's very prone to sort of evaporating off the skin, but with the vitamin E you seal in all the products and you also have hydration protection as well. You've got hydrolized hyaluronic acid there which is great to have, you've got the tocopherol which is obviously the vitamin E, you've got glycerin which again is going to be helping the barrier. Ascorbic acid is high up on the list which is really good to see because it means it's more of a concentration of the vitamin C. And interestingly you've got pinus pinaster bark extract as well, and it's got some great antioxidant properties that work very well with vitamin C. So if you've got kind of like sun damaged skin, maybe a little bit more sensitive skin, this is not going to be a bad thing. It's going to really help with the brightness."

"You've got the Vichy vitamin C which is a nice example of a serum, it's got multiple different types of things in there as well so it's got things like vitamin E in there and it's got glycerin which helps with the skin barrier and it's also got a few nice extracts that are going to really help with making sure that you're not getting many breakouts as well"

"The vitamin C serum, it's 15 percent vitamin C L ascorbic acid in that but the thing I love about that one is it is recently repackaged and revamped. It's another product I did a whole dedicated shop with me video when I first saw that they repackaged it. It's a nice dropper bottle to keep it fresh and really preserve it for longer."

"You can get a 15% L-ascorbic acid from Vichy. I consider this just a best all-around product. It is a very good formulation. I love Vichy, it's a French skincare brand because so many of their products they have such simple straightforward formulations with just the quality ingredients, not a lot of fluff, and that is how I feel about this product. My favorite thing is this new and improved bottling packaging of it. It is a dropper bottle formula so the top just turn it over, a couple drops, and you put it on. It's very important to have high quality packaging of your vitamin C serums because it's not very stable, so you want opaque, airtight. I love this packaging. "This is one of my favorite drugstore vitamin C serums and I'm really excited that they have leveled up their packaging here. The new packaging is so important especially for vitamin C products that are so unstable they can break down and become totally inactive so quickly after opening. There is inert gas that has removed the oxygen from the container which is very important because oxygen coming into contact with vitamin C can oxidize it and make it inactive. The best part of this bottle is the top—you remove it and it comes with a dropper so you can prevent it from being exposed to the air. You turn it upside down and squeeze to get just the amount of drops you want for your face. This is 15 percent pure L-ascorbic acid which is about as high as you should go to avoid irritation and you will get plenty of benefit at that level. The formulation has only 11 total ingredients, an amazing minimalistic formulation. It also has vitamin E which is crucial to pair with vitamin C because they can boost each other's effectiveness for protection against environmental stressors and aging, and it has pine phenols which is another antioxidant to help as well. It's fragrance free and paraben free. This is one of the most affordable drugstore vitamin C serums that I think does a great job at improving the skin."

"Vichy has two vitamin C serums that I have used personally and I've had my patients give me positive feedback on these as well. Both of these are great options with minimalistic formulas with just 10 and 11 ingredients, and this ensures that they are stable and great for sensitive skin because they do not contain a lot of extra filler or unnecessary ingredients that increase their risk of irritation or contact dermatitis, and they are both under 30, which is extremely affordable for a vitamin C product. The serum has 15 percent pure vitamin C, and you will get benefit with this, but the higher the percentage the more potentially irritating this can be if you have sensitive skin or if you have never used a vitamin C product before. The packaging is a traditional dropper bottle format similar to the C E Ferulic, with a dark bottle to protect it from the light, but the downside to me is that you expose this product to air even for just a short time during every single use, which could potentially speed up the timeline for how quickly this becomes inactive."
