What the gurus are saying

The gurus who've reviewed it found the VI Peel works well for treating active acne while fading dark marks left behind, thanks to ingredients like kojic acid built into the formula. One thing to keep in mind: when the peel begins to lift, those with the treatment should trim away dead skin carefully rather than peel it off by hand, since peeling too soon can remove skin that isn't ready. It's also worth discussing with the provider beforehand whether hydroquinone should be included, since that's optional depending on individual needs.

"this person had the VI Peel and they're removing the dead skin as it comes off with scissors rather than peeling it off. If you peel it off you're going to be removing the skin that isn't ready to come off yet, so just trim carefully."

"The VI Peel is actually a really good peel that's available in a lot of clinics that can treat active acne while getting rid of some of those dark marks because it has things like kojic acid also integrated into the peel. These can also be plus or minus hydroquinone which is completely at your provider's discretion, so make sure that you talk to them about that as well."
