"The guard's up daily mineral sunscreen, broad spectrum SPF 35, made with 15.2% zinc oxide, is the one product I didn't end up loving. It does have a tint. It's not a bad mineral sunscreen, is it completely mineral, probably not, it does have octyl salicylate in it after all. It's just that now that I use K-beauty sunscreens, it's so hard to use mineral sunscreens, even the best of the best, my seventy dollar mineral sunscreens, I still struggle to use those because it's just so much faster to put on a chemical sunscreen. My worst from Versed is worst because it has to be, because this is all the US government will allow in products that I can use. Mineral is just a pain, it takes a minute to buff in and that's my problem."

"This is a really nice elegant purely mineral sunscreen so if you have sensitive skin or looking for a good elegant mineral sunscreen highly recommend trying this one. It does contain a light tint so the iron oxide is great at protecting against visible light something that we know can contribute to hyperpigmentation especially if your skin is of color. The tint is very light coverage even though it's just one shade I find it to be for the majority universally flattering. [...] Texture wise it's really elegant once you apply it and absorb to your skin it feels like you're wearing nothing at all it's not sticky it's not heavy doesn't make for oily skin individuals feel like shiny and for dry skin individuals you certainly want to be applying a moisturizer underneath your sunscreen anyway and of all the moisturizers I've used with this sunscreen I've not had any problems with it pilling so really suitable for all skin types."
