This has Tetra hexyl decyl ascorbate in it, which is a type of vitamin C that actually penetrates the skin very well. It has the least amount of irritation and stinging compared to the L ascorbic acid form, and you get really good results from this form of vitamin C. You do not need to feel like you need a separate vitamin C serum just to get results, you can actually just start with a moisturizer that has vitamin C in it and go from here. The consistency is a lightweight cream, so it's a little more than a gel but a little less than a heavy cream, so this is really great for day or night."
