What the gurus are saying

Gurus widely praise Vaseline Lip Therapy for its simplicity, affordability, and effective short-term hydration. The consensus is that it delivers exactly what it promises with a pleasant texture and fragrance-free formulation. One reviewer cautions that while it works well for many, it offers primarily temporary relief rather than long-term lip correction, and some may benefit from balms with added skincare actives. Overall, it's seen as a solid, accessible staple.

"This Vaseline stick, it's kind of nice to just put it right here, like massage it in."

"I really like it, it's like it's marketed, it's lightweight, never caused any burning around the eyes for me, fragrance free. I think that's a steal. It's really nice actually to just rub it in. I've rather been enjoying that. Great texture, very hydrating, fragrance free. I wear this on my face quite comfortably."

"Vaseline's hugely successful Lip Therapy was launched under Unilever's ownership and the product went on to become synonymous with the brand. This is in large part due to the repackaging of the Lip Therapy in the UK when the iconic blue and white tins launched in 1999."

"There is nothing wrong with Vaseline. I don't think I have any issues with how it's soft, how it's formulated, what it's actually doing. I just don't think it's the be all and end all when it comes to lip care. You have a lot of people out there saying all you need is a slick of Vaseline and your lips will be pout ready and perfect and that will work for a lot of people, but there's actually a lot of other high quality lip balms out there that will do just that and add some meaningful long-term skincare benefit too. For a lot of people yes it genuinely is all you need, it's beautifully affordable, easily accessible, but I think we also need to understand that there are a lot of people out there that might need something a little bit more, you might be able to get a little bit more in terms of long-term hydration. I feel like Vaseline is like the sticking plaster. It will fix the problem in the short term, it might give some short-term relief, but in the long term it's probably not going to correct the issue."

"I brought this Vaseline stick that's just convenient to use, kind of rub this all over my lip, my cuticle, my hands, whatever, wherever I need it."
