What the gurus are saying

One expert praised Vacation for hitting an affordable price point for a clear sunscreen formula at $26 per 1.7 ounces. However, another dermatologist found it far too oily and greasy to wear comfortably, describing it as essentially coating skin in baby oil, which directly contradicts what most people actually want from a sunscreen. Those with very dry skin or who prefer dewy finishes may find the texture appealing, but anyone bothered by shine or greasiness will likely want to skip this one.

"I tried the Vacation Sunscreen that is made to look like baby oil packaging and that burned my eyes for sure. And I felt like I was getting ready to hop in a deep fryer and be somebody's Friday night dinner. I felt like I was about to turn into a fish stick. Yeah. No thanks. It baffles me because one of the chief complaints people have with sunscreens, especially the American ones, is, 'Oh, they feel too greasy. They feel too oily. They make me look shiny.' So, you're going to lube up with a thick layer of sunscreen oil? I don't understand the appeal of these."

"I'm going to be reviewing the sunscreens from this Vacation brand. They're not all bad, but this I just don't see how people actually like using this. I mean, it's so oily and greasy, like everything people are always complaining about with sunscreens being shiny, oily, and then this seems to be like one of the most popular selling of their line. I don't get it. I mean, it's really like putting baby oil on your skin."

"Vacation is actually a very nice one. It's actually the most affordable option at $26 for 1.7 ounces. Now, the clear sunscreens are usually more expensive to formulate, so it is nice to get one at this price point."
