What the gurus are saying

Gurus affirm tranexamic acid's effectiveness as a pigmentation fighter, particularly for melasma and discoloration on body areas like elbows and knees. The consensus is that results take time and work more gradually than alternatives like kojic acid, but the ingredient justifies regular use. There's acknowledgment that the product offers strong actives at a competitive price point.

"Tranexamic acid, so you should have it in your skincare routine again if you have melasma pigmentation. Tranexamic acid takes a little time, you know, to work. It's not as fast as kojic acid. But I will recommend again, you can use it on any part of your body, specifically elbows and knees. For that, tranexamic acid is going to be great."

"The third ingredient here is tranexamic acid, which is a very effective tyrosinase inhibitor. Alpha arbutin is one of the most expensive actives, so I don't even know how they were charging such a cheap price for so long to be honest. It jumped up in price, it used to be much cheaper a couple of years ago, but honestly they have the right to increase the price because Alpha arbutin is very, very expensive."
