Ultra Violette is a popular Australian luxury sunscreen brand, and [...] last year one of their most popular sunscreens was exposed in an independent study for having a significantly lower sun protection factor than advertised, with [...] results ranging from SPF 4 to 64, so they recalled the product, issued refunds, and switched to a new manufacturer and testing facility. I feel like they did everything a company should do to take responsibility, and it was a systemic issue across sunscreens generally, not something specific to them. I really did enjoy their sunscreens when I tried them, they felt pretty innovative, especially for Australian sunscreens, which tend to be heavier and more unpleasant."

"This is my favorite one. It comes in a dropper. This particular one is amazing. It is so lightweight and so easily spreadable and it goes a very very long way. It has a scent, it smells a little bit like rose water. If you are not for scents you will hate it because it smells like rose water, but I don't mind it at all. It is a great sunscreen made up of four different filters: Octocrylene, Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Tinosorb S and Tinosorb M. And it also has Terminalia ferdinandiana fruit extract, aka kakadu plum, which is native to Northern Australia, which has a high vitamin C content and antioxidant properties. That is why I love this. I like it because it's so light and I don't mind the scent of rose water and it goes really nicely under makeup. It is very seamless and it is not thick. I would still use it as the last step of your routine even though it is very watery."
