What the gurus are saying

The formula includes multiple vitamin C sources and nourishing ingredients like sea buckthorn oil that some gurus appreciate. However, the citrus peel extract here may trigger irritation, particularly for those with fragrance sensitivities or existing skin reactivity, and the vitamin C stability and actual efficacy remain uncertain, meaning people with sensitive skin may want to patch-test first, or skip it if citrus extracts have bothered them before. Price is steep at fifty-eight dollars for one ounce.

"This has citrus peel extract in it as well, which may be a more natural source of vitamin C, but citrus extracts can be irritating, especially if you already have pre-existing fragrance allergies or a lot of compounds in citrus extracts that can cross react with that sensitivity. This has sea buckthorn oil in it, which is an emollient that I actually rather enjoy in skincare products. My reservations with vitamin C make this a product that I'm skeptical about. With vitamin C serums, you really just never know if they're actually going to end up working out or doing anything for you, and if anything they can end up being a lot more irritating."
