"Triple Paste zinc oxide is a beautiful ingredient it has anti-inflammatory effects when a kid has a rash down there you slap this all over their little tushies in a gentle way in order to minimize their rash to calm the inflammation down so they have less friction on their privates. When it comes to your face if you have an inflamed skin barrier and you're trying to restore your barrier zinc oxide can really help restore that barrier and when it comes in the form of a diaper rash cream when it's married to petrolatum it will help create an occlusive layer while calming any inflammation down and it works wonders as an overnight mask treatment especially in a dry climate or in a very cold climate or when the temperatures are changing. Don't go for one with essential oils definitely don't and make sure there's no steroid in it because that can make things worse. This is probably my favorite one. I have two kids who are six and four and this was the one that I used on my kids."

"If you love face basting which is what I usually do with a diaper rash cream but you hate the look of the zinc on your face, I usually use this guy Triple Paste. I will tell you this is a great second one to try that doesn't have any of that white residue because there's no zinc in it, so it's not going to be as good in terms of an anti-inflammatory perspective but it's going to be great in terms of locking in moisture. If you're somebody who gets flush but you're not sensitive and you have dry skin, so your skin is always red and you're just trying to cool your skin down while keeping it hydrated and dewy, I use this mostly on airplane rides longer than 4 hours but as somebody who's recently developed a few hot flashes here and there at night, I love this."

I would use it all the time on my babies when they were babies, but I use it when I have any sort of irritation and I also use it in the winter when my face is really dry and inflamed with a windburn. I reserve this once you've reached the other extreme of looking red, flaky and off and you want to restore your skin back to where it was."

"I discovered it through my baby's butts, Triple Paste. Now I have the sample size, it can range from $13 up to $30 if you buy the one pound jar, so I would test out a smaller version first for $13. It's an all-time fave. It is not exactly a moisturizer, it is more of an occlusive and it's going to seal the deal. So I would use this first and use this second at night when you're face basting. She's really thick and she's really rich and you're supposed to use this at night, not during the day, because otherwise you will look like a ghost. It has zinc oxide in it. Zinc oxide has anti-inflammatory benefits, it also gives a white cast, and that's what I meant by you'll look like a ghost. But because she is extremely rich, basically it is petrolatum, it is like Vaseline with zinc oxide. It's going to seal everything in and reduce inflammation. I put on a thick layer 30 minutes to an hour before I go to sleep at night at the end of my skincare routine, and although I look kind of ghostlike by the time I wake up in the morning, it has absorbed and I wash my face normally with water. It's beautiful. I would strongly advise you try this out anywhere from two to four times a week at night. If you live in a humid environment or you're oily, I probably would not do that."

"This is literally white petrolatum, which is Vaseline, plus zinc oxide, which is amazing at having reparative and healing properties. After I do the hyper serum and the active seal, if I feel the need to add an extra layer of hydration, I then end it with the diaper paste because this is really going to seal it all in while calming your face. This has an occlusive property to it, plus it's using zinc oxide and not zinc PCA. Zinc oxide is much better geared towards repairing and regenerating your skin. This is like the last thing that you would put on your face."

So the way it works is that because it has petroleum jelly plus zinc oxide which has anti-inflammatory effects, it would help to heal and soothe your skin as well and not just act like an occlusive. So when you are putting this directly on your skin and an inflamed skin barrier, that can be helpful if you are making sure that you are also using Vaseline underneath or you are making sure that your skin is not completely dehydrated."
