What the gurus are saying

The spray's hypochlorous acid core earns broad praise for calming redness, fighting acne and rosacea, and disinfecting without the drying harshness of alcohol, though it works best applied first and allowed to dry before layering other actives. One key caveat: the spray nozzle delivers a harsher, more direct mist than some prefer, so sensitivity to intense application may matter for morning use. Those with sweat-triggered breakouts, inflammatory skin conditions, or post-workout irritation tend to see the most visible relief.

"I always use Tower 28, their hypochlorous acid. I bounce between that one and the one from Prequel because I have perioral dermatitis constantly."

My Skincare Routine for Perioral Dermatitis!
"I love to use a hypochlorous acid spray. I've been using hypochlorous acid on my skin for years. If I have breakouts, if I have any redness, if I have any kind of perioral dermatitis, I always have the Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray mini on me just because it's great to travel with. I spray it on my skin, and before I put anything else on, especially actives, I let this dry down, because you're essentially putting bleach on your skin and it can make any of your other actives inactive. You just want to let this dry down. It is not a hydrating spray toner."
My Updated Skincare Routine for Melasma & Dark Spots
"You've probably heard so many people talking about hypochlorous acid, and there's a reason for it. It is great for anybody who has skin irritation, so for like me with this perioral dermatitis, but also because of my melasma, I have noticed that anytime I get really red, like if I'm irritated, I have redness, if I just spent too much time at the gym, if I was out in the sun, if I got really hot, I will keep a bottle of this. I also have the Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray, that's like a travel size that I throw in my bag too, but I will just spray. I also like spraying it on my back so I don't get breakouts. I especially love it in this area, and if you're going to use any antioxidants, like a retinoid and some acid and stuff, then you want to let it dry down before you go in with some of your other products, just because it could cancel it out, who knows if the science on it is, but it's essentially like spraying bleach on your skin, so just keep that in mind. But I think this is just such a great type of product to have in your routine and in your bag, and it's like a catchall for so many different skin issues. And if you're dealing with any redness like I do, that redness can lead to more melasma or hyperpigmentation, so it's just so nice to have because then you don't have to deal with that."
Life Update: Am I Getting Divorced?
"It's from Tower 28, it's the SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray. This is hypochlorous acid spray. I love it. I talk about it all the time. I do love that this one's travel size and I just want it specifically on that area. Hypochlorous acid when you spray it onto your skin it's essentially like spraying bleach on your skin but skin safe bleach, and so you don't want to put any of your other ingredients on it."

"This is one of my favorite products, one I actually featured in my best of 2025 series. Hypochlorous acid [...] is one of the newer ingredients on the market and it's absolutely incredible for helping a variety of issues. It works to help get rid of bacteria that could be contributing to acne and breakouts, [...] has a mild cleansing effect, and also helps reduce redness, irritation, sensitivity, and even eczema. It's [...] kind of like niacinamide in the way it targets so many different skin concerns, which is why even though I don't necessarily need it since I don't struggle with active acne or eczema, I use it in my skincare routine every single day. It's just such a good addition to the routine."

"I literally recommend that spray just Tower 28 all the time, but specifically that spray was featured in my best of 2025 series. If you are not on the hypochlorous acid train, girly pop, you got to get on because hypochlorous acid is that girl. Such a good ingredient for helping to reduce redness, to cleanse the skin, help with eczema and dryness. Like truly, everyone can use hypochlorous acid and I utilize it every single day in my morning routine. I've loved it for years. Love Tower 28. For any of you who are wanting to incorporate that ingredient or product into your skincare routine, I definitely recommend using it like right after you shower and cleanse your skin, at least that's when I use it. Or I also love using it after I work out so that if there's any additional sweat or bacteria that's on my face just from sweating I can make sure that the hypochlorous acid is kind of bulldozing its way through any bacteria, sweat or germs that are building up on my skin so that I don't break out or have to deal with any skin issues from that. I also really recommend bringing it on the plane so you can just spray your skin mid-flight. It's a great way of balancing the hydration levels of your skin, making sure it stays clean so you don't struggle with breakouts."

The BEST Cleansers of 2025 🫧
"The Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray is simple but effective and has so many benefits being added into your routine. Because hypochlorous acid is a great extra cleansing step that not only will help you to avoid the risk of breakouts because of its antibacterial properties, but also really helps with skin issues like eczema, rosacea, and of course redness. I'm someone who really struggles with redness, especially after cleansing. For some reason, my skin just loves to look super flushed, and it takes a while to calm down. But by introducing a hypochlorous acid spray into my routine, it's just been such an easy way of getting all those skin benefits without really having to think about it. That's one of the things that I really appreciate about it in a spray form."

"My favorite toner of 2026 so far is this. Hypochlorous acid is fantastic for anyone that's breakout prone, I am. [...] I love it in a spray form. [...] Before I even go into the gym [...] I will give this a good spritz on the chest, on the face, back of the neck, and that will just prevent and reduce acne causing bacteria from causing a problem and prevent breakouts. When I'm done at the gym [...] I will generally shower and then do another spritz again because it just keeps all your breakouts in check. [...] If you haven't tried hypochlorous acid, this is the best one, doesn't strip, doesn't dry. [...] This is more affordable, which is why I'm gravitating towards this more. [...] I would encourage everyone to get a toner with a purpose, and hypochlorous acid has a key purpose, particularly in these warmer summer months."

"Hypochlorous acid feels like a decent addition to my acne care routine, but I'll never again pay full price for the Tower 28. The ingredients really are just water, sodium chloride, and hypochlorous acid, so imagine the profit margin on this. I like Tower 28, I recommended their gel cleanser, but this one has so much hype behind it that I don't really think it deserves, it's overhyped, it's overpriced. If you must buy hypochlorous acid products, at least get them for less money."

(BIG) Skincare Empties: finding the “best of the best”!
"I have a lot of mixed thoughts on the Tower 28 Daily Rescue Facial Spray. It's a great antimicrobial product, but honestly that's kind of all it does. It's not very hydrating, it's not very calming, but it does seem to really fight bacteria very effectively. It's just not enough of a product, I want more going on in a product, especially if I'm paying Sephora prices. But don't get me wrong, I do love it and I will absolutely use it when I have it, I just won't pay full price for it."

"The Tower 28 Daily Rescue Facial Spray contains hypochlororous acid, [...] an ingredient that I start using during late spring into early fall because this does a really good job to prevent breakouts. So if you're someone that experiences bacne, chest acne, facial acne, this is a really nice product to use on an everyday basis twice a day. This is something that you can also use throughout the day on top of makeup, on top of sunscreen. [...] It's also very hydrating. It's antimicrobial. It's anti-inflammatory, and it is absolutely fabulous for all skin types. You don't have to be acne prone to use this, but if you are acne prone, this is a lifesaver."

SPRING TO SUMMER SKINCARE TRANSITION - FIGHT BREAKOUTS, FINE LINES, OILY SKIN, INGROWN HAIRS & MORE!
"This is something that I'm going to start incorporating in both my morning and nighttime routine. You can use this once a day if you want, and you can use this several times throughout the day on top of makeup, on top of sunscreen, tinted sunscreen. If you just went to the gym, you just had a yoga class, spray this on top of your skin to disinfect. This is basically like disinfecting your skin, but not in a drying alcohol way. It is very gentle. It's actually quite hydrating on the skin. It doesn't irritate the skin whatsoever. And this is actually a great product to use to repair your skin. Let's say you just had a sunburn. Maybe you just had a scrape or a cut on your arm or your hand. Wherever it is, spray this in those areas to promote healing. This is great to use post treatment of micro needling or inoff lasers. If you're acne prone, give this a try. This will help to prevent breakouts. If you just want this for wound healing, maybe from sunburns, cuts, scrapes, mosquito bites, this is actually a great product to use to heal those bug bites, basically. I'm telling you, lifesaver."

"This has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. If you're acne prone on your face, your chest, or your back, spritz this from head to toe or just use this on localized areas. It does a good job to keep your skin nice and clear. It will kill fungi, viruses, bacteria, pathogens. It's basically like using hand sanitizer all over your body or your face but way more gentle. It's not harsh in the least. It doesn't dry out your skin. It keeps your skin comfortable and it's also very hydrating as well. If you have redness, this can help to reduce redness. If you have any cuts or scrapes, you can spritz this on those areas and it can help to keep that area clean and heal a lot quicker. I love the one from Tower 28. I can't live without this. This has really made a big difference in my skincare routines and since being consistent with this, I have not experienced any breakouts."

MY NIGHTTIME ANTI-AGING SKINCARE ROUTINE - P.M. SKINCARE ROUTINE OVER 30
"The first product that I've been using is hypochlorous acid. This is by Tower 28, the Daily Rescue Facial Spray. Hypochlorous acid is honestly great for all skin types. Sensitive, oily, normal, dry, it's great for all, but especially if you're acne prone like myself because hypochlorous acid has antimicrobial properties. It's also anti-inflammatory and it really does a good job to prevent breakouts. It's basically like sterilizing your skin every time you use this, [...] but way more gentle. There's no alcohol in here. It's not going to dry out your skin. It actually hydrates the skin, but it does a really good job to speed up wound healing. And again, it prevents breakouts. And this is what I use during the spring, summer, early fall days to prevent breakouts. And it does a really good job."

THE POWER OF HYPOCHLOROUS ACID IN SKINCARE - UNLOCK FLAWLESS SKIN WITH THIS POWERFUL INGREDIENT
"Hypochlorous acid is not drying in the least. It doesn't make my skin feel tight or depleted of hydration. It keeps my skin feeling like my skin but of course you're just adding that nice layer to disinfect and keep your skin nice and clean. Hypochlorous acid also has anti-inflammatory properties to it as well, so if you're someone with redness, you have eczema, psoriasis, or your skin barrier is compromised and you're dealing with a lot of irritation, then hypochlorous acid can help to calm and soothe the skin and reduce inflammation. If you're someone that gets in-office laser treatments or chemical peels and you have scrapes, wounds, or cuts, then hypochlorous acid can help to speed up healing time and keep the skin nice and comfortable at the same time. Hypochlorous acid can also be a very hydrating ingredient. It doesn't dry out my skin whatsoever. It doesn't make my skin feel tight. It really does hydrate and keep the skin very comfortable."
MY NIGHTTIME ANTI-AGING SKINCARE ROUTINE - P.M. SUMMER SKINCARE ROUTINE USING TRETINOIN
"The Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray is basically hypochlorous acid, so it has antibacterial properties to it, wound healing properties, and it can help to reduce redness as well. Since I am acne prone, especially in the summer months, I need something to kill off bacteria and to keep the skin clear and free of any bacteria which can harbor into acne. I really like it. I have to take back something I said a couple years ago [...] because I really do feel like it does help to reduce redness. It doesn't eliminate the redness from my experience, but it does help to reduce it a little bit. I'm more so using this for the antibacterial properties because I am acne prone. If you're acne prone, I would try using this and see if it works. I think this is great, especially for the summer months. [...] It is hydrating and it does a good job to keep the skin clear and free of bacteria."

"This is hypochlorous acid which has so many wonderful benefits for our skin. Hypochlorous acid is great for those that are prone to breakouts, you have facial acne, you have redness, you're looking for something for hydration. There are so many wonderful benefits. It's anti-microbial. I do have a backup already which I will be using next. If you do like the Tower 28 brand, this one is lovely. There are several size options to choose from as well. This one that I have here is the 120 mil size and I absolutely love it. I'm more consistent with this during summer and fall and more so spring. In the winter I haven't been using this as much but I still like to occasionally use it, especially if I'm noticing that my skin is starting to break out or maybe my facial redness is a little bit more prominent. Then I will start incorporating hypochlorous acid."
MY ULTIMATE MORNING ANIT-AGING SKINCARE ROUTINE - A.M. ROUTINE USING PEPTIDES, GROWTH FACTORS & MORE
"The first product that I'm going to be using is hypocchlorous acid. This is by Tower 28. This is actually called the Daily Rescue Facial Spray, but its main ingredient is hypocchlorous acid. [...] Hypocchloric acid has a lot of benefits to it like it's antimicrobial. It's anti-inflammatory. It's also very hydrating as well. It does not dry out the skin. It doesn't strip the skin. It honestly is a very hydrating ingredient. So, this is great even if you have dry skin. If you have a compromised skin barrier, this is going to speed up that wound healing process and also amazing for acne prone skin, which is why I am currently using this because hypocchloric acid honestly does wonders if you're someone that has breakouts. You're constantly developing acne. It's great for all things [...] like I said. If you develop backne, get somebody to spray it on your back. [...] It makes a world of a difference when you are acne prone."

5 Things You Need to Change For Your Spring & Summer Skincare Routine 🌻🌺💐🌹
"If you're prone to fungal acne, adding in a hypochlorous acid spray isn't a bad thing. Tower 28 has one. [...] Just misting this on your skin once a day, that hypochlorous acid helps kill the things on our face that create an environment for acne, breakouts, fungal acne, things like that. So it can be a nice thing to add into your routine for spring or summer or maybe you always have it in there."

"Let's talk about the Tower 28 SOS Rescue Spray. This is a product that is new to my routine this spring. I have been using it in the winter and as I shared with you in my March favorites, I've been using it over the last couple of months to help prevent breakouts from sweating. My skin can sometimes get very irritated when I sweat a lot from my workouts. I'll use this spray before I work out, I'll sometimes spray it right after, or I sometimes build it into my routine right after my shower from working out. [...] It's not a toner. It's not an essence. It's really a targeted mist for folks who suffer with inflammatory conditions on the skin. It helps to reduce the inflammation, the irritation, the redness and potentially things like eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis flare-ups on the skin, which are all rooted in inflammation within the skin. The only ingredient here is the hypochlorous acid, and this is a great ingredient for what I just said. I have found that it's been really helpful like I said for preventing breakouts because there is an antibacterial benefit to this ingredient, but it's also soothing inflammation."

March Faves | Tower28, Numbuzin, Aestura
"I really tried to build the habit of doing this pre-workout but also post-workout as well and I've noticed that the irritation from sweat, because if sweat's on my skin long enough even washing right away my skin just still feels a little iffy for the rest of the day, I've noticed a lot less redness, I've noticed definitely less congestion and pimples as well. So I do believe that this ingredient is beneficial. This really is a product that is meant to target bacteria and inflammation on the skin and it really is for folks who are really sensitive to sweat, or maybe you do suffer with bacterial acne, maybe you do get eczema flare-ups, maybe you do have rosacea or any kind of inflammatory skin condition. You might want to try something like this and just see if it doesn't cut down on your flare-ups or cut down on the amount of inflammation and redness or just even that raw sensitivity on the skin, because that's what I noticed using this."

"Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Spray is a hypochlorous acid spray that has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, as well as soothing benefits that really can benefit a lot of people. This makes a great gift for teens who are starting to get irritated or acne prone. Maybe they're pretty active and don't always have time to shower immediately after sport practice or after the gym. They can simply spray all over their face, on chest, back, or body, wherever they're prone to breaking out, before applying moisturizer and sunscreen. It's really quick and easy to use. You can put it in your gym bag, and I love the fact that it comes in multiple sizes - one that's smaller, great for travel, even mid-flight on the plane, and a larger bottle they can keep in their backpack or bags."

AAPI Heritage month: Favorite AAPI brands | Dr. Jenny Liu
"The SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray is a spray as the name implies, you can spray it everywhere, not just on your face. This is the OG hypochlorous acid spray and really this product shed light on Tower 28 as a brand but also popularized hypochlorous acid as an ingredient. This is really the first brand that came out with this product. Hypochlorous acid is essentially really gentle, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial ingredient. It is very similar to what I recommend on a regular basis to my eczema patients, which is dilute bleach bath. They work very similarly. In the spray in skincare it's going to be a lot more gentle and less irritating. What you're getting here is basically soothing and calming benefits on eczema prone skin, rosacea prone skin, and also acne. If you're prone to acne this is great to spray when you're on the go on your chest or back after working out or something like that if you can't shower immediately. For example, those that struggle with acne from mask friction, spraying this on your face or even on the underside of your mask may help to reduce some of that acne."

"The Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray is super convenient to use and it contains hypochlorous acid that is produced naturally by our immune system. Hypochlorous acid [...] has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects and also helps to soothe the skin. So for anyone, especially when we are all wearing a lot of mask and that mask caused more acne or mask-related rosacea flares, this spray was great to use even under the face or spray on your mask to really soothe and calm the skin and reduce the irritation and friction. For somebody who struggles with acne and rosacea flares on a regular basis, this would be a great one to put on, basically spray after cleansing and then they can follow up with the rest of their skincare routine to really help keep the skin less irritated."
Ultimate Dermatologist- Approved Holiday Gift Guide | Dr. Jenny Liu
"This contains hypochlorous acid that is beloved by dermatologists and is essentially used to help calm, soothe irritated, inflamed skin damage and skin barrier anywhere from acne, rosacea, to maskne to sunburns to even eczema. I really love using this during Covid when many of us were struggling with maskne, spraying that on your face or even on your mask to reduce mask-induced flare-up of acne and rosacea. This pH balance spray is really ideal to calm red, inflamed, irritated skin. I love the fact that this is mini-sized, ideal for travel, and you can use it essentially without having to apply anything with your hands. Hypochlorous acid is the active ingredient here and it's actually naturally produced by our skin by the immune system as an anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial ingredient that has soothing, calming properties as well. It's actually very similar to dilute bleach bath or soaks that we as dermatologists would recommend to our patients for all sorts of skin conditions, most commonly eczema, but here it's just a more natural version. It's actually a lot less irritating and dry to the skin compared to dilute bleach soaks. So something that is really universally beneficial for all skin types, especially when your skin is irritated and inflamed."

"This is a really multi-functional spray that contains the active ingredient hypochlorous acid, which is essentially a naturally derived ingredient that has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and soothing benefits and can help to balance the skin pH when it's disrupted from cleansing or acne and rosacea. So that's usually the conditions that I kind of recommend using the spray for: anybody that gets breakouts, rosacea flares, or has eczema that needs some instant soothing. This can be helpful. You can spray it [...] on the face and body after exercising, and if your rosacea tends to flare during seasonal transitions, this would be a great product to incorporate into your routine once or twice a day, just spray on your face after cleansing and then carry on with the rest of your skincare routine. [...] This is a pretty great, gentle ingredient to incorporate. It helps to [...] rebalance the pH of your skin that's often disrupted when there's inflammation from rosacea, eczema, or acne."

"Tower 28 is sort of the leaders in the category and they remain that way. [...] This one also has salicylic acid and some other skincare goodies in it. [...] I see Dr. Maxvi kind of take this with him everywhere he goes. [...] I actually really like it as a really non-drying hand sanitizer. [...] The practical utility of it cannot be overstated."

"It's a big bottle and it is under $15. Tower 28 you will pay more for this brand but this is a quality product. It has the National Eczema Association seal of approval which I like."

"Tower 28's hypochlorous acid spray is an amazing product and ingredient in general for breakouts, rosacea, irritated itchy skin, to oversimplify it, it's like an anti-bac for your face. These versions have gone viral but [...] if you're in the UK you can't actually get Tower 28's products."

How I healed My Broken Skin Barrier In 7 Days
"This is a game changer for my rosacea. I spray this twice a day. In the morning I literally just spritz it, and in the evening I do the same on dry skin, let this dry down, and then you can go in with your actives. It smells like a swimming pool. I was under the impression that you can't use this with antioxidants, but apparently you can use it as long as you use it first, let it completely dry on your skin, and then you can go in with your antioxidants. Personally, if you're using vitamin C, I would use that in the morning then use this in the evening. It's been calming and soothing on breakouts, irritated skin, rosacea. Whenever I ruin my skin barrier, I mass ordered this."
Skincare Products I Thought I’d Love💜…But Ended Up Hating! 😭 & More TikTok Skincare Videos
"I thought I'd love but ended up just not really using or even liking Tower 28's SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray. This is a hypochlorous acid serum. Hypochlorous acid has gone super viral because it is pretty amazing, right, and when I first saw this I was like oh my God, perfect, a serum version of a hypochlorous acid mist. But that's actually the reason I don't use it. I don't need a hypochlorous acid serum. It also doesn't make a lot of sense in my routine. It makes more sense for me to apply to freshly cleansed dry skin, let that dry down, and then go in with the rest of my routine, but then the serum I would have to use after a toner, but you're not supposed to. So I'd have to use the serum on dry skin before going up the rest of my routine, so I may as well just use the mist. It doesn't make sense in my routine. The two other extra ingredients in the serum versus the mist as well don't really seem like they add much to be honest with you. I believe they're like viscosity controlling ingredients."

"Tower 28's SOS spray is really what put hypochlorous acid on the map when it comes to using it in skincare. The reason hypochlorous acid gained so much traction outside of a dermatology office is because people were seeing immense benefits in their skin with regular use. [...] One issue I found with hypochlorous acid sprays in the past is you don't get a nice fine mist when you spray it, it's more of a squirt, and so I really find that this has a beautiful application on the skin."

"This is a hypochlorous acid spray. Hypochlorous acid is actually a compound that is naturally made by our leukocytes or our white blood cells to help defend against things like bacteria and viruses and fungus, but you can use it in a topical form externally to kind of achieve the same thing. So in my mind this is like a true antimicrobial anti-inflammatory multitasker. I see people put this on their face, which I think is a great thing if you have acne or you even struggle with rosacea. It's a huge staple in my regimen but it's often with me on the go. I actually keep this hypochlorous acid spray in my son's diaper bag because he has really delicate skin and I use it to wash his hands."

"I'm going to use the hypochlorous acid to kind of sprit on my face, this is by Tower 28. I do think it's a good habit to have especially if you're somebody who sweats a lot post gym. If you're prone to any sort of acne on your chest or back, using the hypochlorous acid can definitely be very helpful. It is antibacterial and has anti-inflammatory effects as well, and just given that my skin is acting up, I've been under a lot of stress, good thing to kind of just help reset."

"I also believe Tower 28's SOS spray is a really good one. People have confused this with salt water—it is not salt water, it is not bleach, it's a different chemical composition. It has been shown to be at a gentler pH that is more balanced with your skin, and it is less aggressive, so it can help disinfect and get rid of all that antimicrobial activity that can be further worsening your rosacea. I actually use that during the day."

"Tower 28 SOS Save Our Skin is so basic with literally three ingredients, no alcohol, non-drying, and no fragrance. It is super easy and oh my gosh it is so cooling on the skin. It is literally made for sunburnt stressed out distressed skin. It is hypoallergenic with a pH of 4.5 so it actually matches the skin. I can use this as a toner step to help my other products like my serums and moisturizer penetrate deeper, but I can also spray this over my sunscreen just as a refresher to cool down and refresh my face. This is beautiful with three basic ingredients and absolutely phenomenal. It is eczema association approved, so if you do have super super super sensitive skin this works and it just cools you down."

"This is the Daily Rescue Facial Spray. I've tried and used this product which is why I recommend it. It's so good for the days that the skin needs a reset. "I love the Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray. This is beautiful, especially if you have acne-prone skin. I honestly wish I had this during my intense acne days because I feel like it would have really come in handy, but I love having it anyways even though I don't always have active breakouts. It's nice if I'm feeling like I've got a little bit of texture or something like that. This is so beautiful and it just is great for sensitive skin. You don't have to worry about that if you have sensitive skin. So it's just a nice little spray all over the face. I have loved it. It's beautiful."

"At home my neck is just constantly irritated by my hair, clothes, jewelry, you name it. My neck is just in a constant state of irritation, and so I thought well let me give this a try. It's so easy to use, it's almost like a setting spray. I can do my skincare and then just spritz it on or I can spritz it on and then do my skincare. It has really been helping my neck to be much less sensitive. This is a hit with me. I really love it."
Anti-Aging MORNING Skincare Routine | Over 60 | WINTER 2025
"I've got a new weapon in my skincare routine to fight that irritation this winter and I'm absolutely loving this. It's from Tower 28, it's their SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray. This is a hypochlorous acid spray, it's super gentle and super effective in calming and soothing the skin. It's antibacterial, it's antimicrobial, so it fights acne, it fights infections. After I wash my face I pat my skin dry, I don't get it super completely dry, I don't wait any amount of time, then I give myself a spritz with my hypochlorous acid spray. I spray my face and my neck and then I rub it around a little bit and then I just give it a couple of seconds to dry. I don't necessarily put this on every single day, mainly if I wake up and my skin is feeling just a little bit itchy, a little bit dry and irritated, I'll give it a spritz with this. Sometimes I use it at night."
Counting Down The BEST SKINCARE of 2024!
"I started using the Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray on my neck and oh my gosh, this is it. It gets rid of my irritation on my neck in a matter of minutes instead of hours or days. When I first feel my neck getting hot and tingly and itchy I can just give this a spray and it takes care of it, and it has kept all irritation away. I swear this is the most comfortable my neck has been in years. In the dead of winter, in January with heat on and no moisture in the air, my neck is not red, irritated or on fire, and it's because of hypochlorous acid. The main difference I noticed compared to another hypochlorous acid product is that this one has a bit of a fragrance to it, but this one is a little bit of a finer mist. Sometimes I do it before I put on my skincare and sometimes I put it on after I put on my skincare and I literally just mist and let it soak in, and I have had no irritation on my neck. I'm so thrilled."

"The Tower 28 SOS hypochlorous acid spray is a new discovery for me this year that I am so psyched about. [...] Hypochlorous [...] acid is one of the workhorses of the dermatologist toolkit, they use it for everything. It can help to minimize your acne, it can help to minimize your skin irritation, and my neck is constantly irritated and I just give it a spritz with this and it takes away the irritation almost immediately. My neck has been so non-irritated this fall. I just love this. This is a really great product, and it also comes in a mini if you just want to try a mini or give one to someone who maybe has acne or irritated skin to try."

"It's a purified, stabilized molecule that our own immune cells naturally produce to fight off bacteria and soothe irritation. Tower 28 figured out how to bottle that in a safe, skin-friendly formula -- and that's actually not easy to do. Hypochlorous acid is really hard to stabilize and it does not mix well with other actives, which is why this product keeps it simple and pure. That's what makes this an OG. It's clinically effective, super gentle, and easy to use anywhere. I like spritzing it after the gym -- I keep it in my gym bag -- when my skin feels irritated, or when my skin has acne, a rosacea flare-up, or anytime I really need a reset. If your skin's feeling stressed or reactive, this is the one for you."

"I'm really happy that Tower 28 kind of brought it from the derm world into consumers' everyday routines at home. I like to use it on everything from impaired skin barrier to blemishes to sunburns to body acne, and it does help to repair your skin barrier. I struggle a lot with rosacea and sensitive skin, and this is perfect for reducing that miserable redness and irritation. Great for post-workouts -- I keep this in my gym bag. I spritz it all over after working out and it is just a lifesaver. Hypochlorous acid is actually naturally produced by our body's immune system. It acts as the body's first line of defense against microbes -- so that's not just bacteria, but also fungi, viruses -- leaving your skin feeling a lot more clear, a lot more healthy. This is just a staple."
Sephora 2024 Holiday Sale: Dermatologist Top Picks!
"The Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray comes in a travel-friendly size. Hypochlorous acid has been a really buzzy ingredient this year and last year, which is interesting to me because as dermatologists we've used it in treating wounds for a long time. Hypochlorous acid is actually produced by our own body; our immune cells use it to kill bacteria and calm down inflammation, and when put into a spray it can do all of that. We love its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. You can use this on acne, rosacea, skin that's inflamed, and it really helps to cleanse the skin and neutralize the bacteria. It's also a great hack for workouts: if you're at the gym and don't have time to wash your face afterwards (I do recommend washing your face afterwards), you can always spritz this on when you're sweating and your face is dirty from being in the gym environment or from touching your face after handling gym equipment. This is a good one to throw in your gym bag."

Dermatologist Guide to Sephora Sale | What I’m Buying!
"This you can think of as your soothing anti-inflammatory antimicrobial toner that you can use pretty much anywhere. It's like a little magic potion. If you had something that was way too strong last week that burned and damaged your skin you can use this to help calm it down. If you have a little patch of itchy irritated skin, whether that's from eczema or from exposure to something that you hadn't tried before, you can try this as well. If you find that you have a little breakout you can use this there as well. I would say this will not replace, however, your dermatologist approved treatments for your skin conditions. For example, this is not going to replace any regimen that I give my patients for eczema or for rosacea or for allergic reactions. This is meant more as an over-the-counter treatment that you can try in addition to and as an adjunct to your dermatologist prescribed and recommended treatments."
