What they liked

  • Texture lightens as you blend it in
  • Hydrating without feeling like a heavy seal
  • Honest about being too rich for oily skin

What they flagged

  • Too heavy for oily or combination skin

What the gurus are saying

The texture feels deceptively heavy at first but becomes lighter as you rub it in; reviewers noted this shift repeatedly. Polyglutamic acid and oils hydrate while ceramides and panthenol strengthen the barrier, supported by soothing extracts (Centella, witch hazel, licorice, chamomile). One reviewer loved it but won't repurchase since the pore-targeting ingredients aren't a priority for her. Works as evening moisturizer even on oily skin types.

"The latest formulation is fragrance free, uses polyglutamic acid instead of hyaluronic acid, and has no niacinamide, with witch hazel added for pores even though it's a moisturizing formula, which is a bizarre but interesting combination. I loved it so much, but I don't actually think I will repurchase this, simply because pores aren't as big of a concern for me."

"This is a really interesting rich cream because usually when I see a cream that is like rich and thick, I often think it's just thick and sits on the skin and it kind of just works as a seclusive barrier on the skin, but this has polyglutamic acid in it so you get that hydration, that really nice feeling of hydration as well as that kind of protection of a thicker cream. It's a very unique texture."
