What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise the serum's high peptide concentration and anti-aging benefits, with particular enthusiasm from those with sensitive skin due to its encapsulated formula that plays well with actives. The thick, creamy texture divides opinion: some love it for dry skin, while others find it awkward to layer. A recurring caution is avoiding use alongside low-pH actives like acids or retinoids unless a neutralizing step separates them, as these can degrade the peptide bonds. Overall read is positive but requires thoughtful routine integration.

"The Theoid copper peptide serum is wonderful. If you have acne prone skin, go with the Theoid. If you're on a budget, I think the Theoid ends up being a little bit more affordable and it lasts a little bit longer and the bottle is pretty big, this 1.7 oz. This stuff is pretty thick, it has a kind of an almost an ointment like texture to it which I love for my dry skin, but it has broken me out a handful of times even when my skin isn't blemish prone, so keep that in mind. Copper peptides are wonderful for anti-aging, just be cautious how you use them. You don't want to use them with a lot of actives, especially ones that have a low pH, because it can break up the peptide bond. So you don't want to use it with retinoic acid or certain exfoliants, lactic acid, things like that. Or if you do, be sure to use a neutralized product in between them so that the copper peptides can do their job without being disturbed by the low pH of actives."

"The best peptide serum for sensitive skin is hands down the Theoid Copper Peptide Serum. It's encapsulated so it's definitely sensitive skin friendly. It's also really easy to slot in your skincare routine because with things being encapsulated it means you can use it alongside any of your other actives with no problems whatsoever. It's actually a nice creamy consistency so it applies beautifully to the skin. Sky high concentration of those copper peptides, this packs an anti-aging punch and if you've got sensitive skin this could be your best friend. It's a great all-rounder for anyone out there no matter what your level of skin sensitivity."

"It has 3% copper peptides and a blend of peptides at 13%. At first I was really into it. It has this really rich blue tone to it, it has a gel cream texture to it, but over time I just felt like that texture was weird to incorporate into my skincare routine. Like it wasn't a typical serum step but it also wasn't a moisturizer, it just didn't fit into my skincare routine well. But I enjoyed it enough to finish it."
