  • Can sting or tingle when introduced

What the gurus are saying

Both resveratrol and ferulic acid at 3% concentration each is rare and makes this serum notably potent for antioxidant protection and brightening, though that power means new users may feel dryness or mild tingling at first. Experts praise it as a capable alternative to vitamin C serums or as a complement to them, and it layers well with tretinoin and retinol. Start with a few times a week and build up as your skin adapts; the initial oily feel dries down quickly and doesn't pill under makeup or sunscreen.

"I'm going to go in with some of this, the Ordinary Resveratrol. I think resveratrol is one of the best antioxidants to also use alongside vitamin C because resveratrol is fantastic at minimizing the risk of sun-induced hyperpigmentation. It's got some anti-inflammatory benefits. It's also going to prevent oxidative stress which free radicals, things like certain UV wavelengths of light, particulate matter, hit our skin, stress it out and this can only trigger premature aging but can also trigger inflammation which can then lead to hyperpigmentation. So I think using a potent antioxidant like resveratrol is a really great way of just adding a little extra to your existing hyperpigmentation routine and sort of future-proofing the skin against further hyperpigmentation, which I'm all about. I'm doing a lot of work to eradicate the hyperpigmentation I already have, but I want to prevent it from reoccurring. And resveratrol is one of those great ingredients to do just that."

BEST EVER ANTI AGING - Ultimate Antioxidants For Anti Aging
"If you want to do your Resveratrol on a budget then The Ordinary do a Resveratrol serum in a 3% concentration. It's not as potent as the Facetheory and you don't have that ferulic acid alongside it, so you will have to have a little patience in terms of waiting to see those results. But it's a great affordable alternative and providing you have that patience you'll still get some great results from incorporating The Ordinary Resveratrol into your skincare routine."

"And the last OG product is the Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%. I have yet to find a formulation like this on the market that offers a 3% for each ingredient. This is very powerful and one of the most effective products from The Ordinary. Now, this is a product that you can pair up with your vitamin C serums, also with other types of antioxidants. You can also use this at nighttime paired up with Tretinoin, a retinol, or even a retinaldehyde. It can be used with many other ingredients to enhance results for signs of aging. This can improve skin brightness as well. It also protects your skin from pollution, which is why I always use this in my morning with vitamin C. But, this is really really powerful. And the Ferulic Acid in here actually helps to stabilize the Resveratrol. It actually helps to prolong the ingredient for shelf life and the performance of Resveratrol. So, if you love your antioxidant serums and you like Resveratrol, this is the way to go. This is more for anti-aging than anything."

"This can be used prior to retinol and before tretinoin. And this also can be used with other types of antioxidants as well as your vitamin C. And this is a really lovely serum especially for signs of aging and for brightening the skin. So if you are looking for something like that and you love resveratrol then this is a really good one. When I first started, I did experience a bit of dryness. So just start slow maybe at first and then just increase your usage."
WARNING! THESE ANTIOXIDANT SKINCARE PRODUCTS MAY CAUSE EXCESSIVE COMPLEMENTS- GLOW LIKE NEVER BEFORE
"The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%. You've heard me talk about this before in the past, but it's not something that I really talk religiously about here on my channel, and it's a very underrated product from The Ordinary. I honestly don't hear a lot of people talking about this, and this is absolutely fabulous. This is no joke. This is a very powerful antioxidant at a 3% concentration. So you can use this on its own, but you can also pair this up with vitamin C, other types of antioxidants, and you can also pair this up with retinol, [tretinoin], if you really wanted to. Now if you're new to this and you've never used this before, I would say start slow and gradually increase from there just to see how your skin does. Because when I first started using this, I did notice that I had that tingling sensation to my skin which lasted for about 30 seconds or so and then it dissipated, but it was a little sensitizing on my skin at first. And then as I became more accustomed to it, I don't experience that tingling sensation anymore. So you may or may not experience that, but I just wanted to mention it in case you do. It is common, and that should subside once your skin adjusts to the product. So start slow, maybe a couple of days a week, and then gradually increase from there. It is a serum that can be used twice a day, but start with once a day at least and see how it goes from there."
3 AMAZING TRETINOIN PAIRINGS FOR MAXIMUM RESULTS | ANTI-AGING, UNEVEN SKIN AND MORE!
"This is an antioxidant serum and antioxidants are great to brighten up your complexion. [...] This product really helps to get you to that brighter complexion quicker and it can help to address signs of aging as well. It's one of my favorite products from the ordinary and I've always said that this is underrated. I don't hear a lot of people talking about this and it's great even paired up with vitamin C serums. [...] I really love it with tretinoin because I really do like the way that they pair up together. My skin just glows and just the clarity and the tone of my skin looks improved. [...] This is oil free but it does have that oily texture to it, which is another reason why I love this serum with tretinoin because it just keeps the skin nice and comfortable. [...] If you're not into peptides for whatever reason, then using Resveratrol plus ferulic is a great option to go with."
AMPLIFIED RESULTS! 9 PRO VITAMIN C PAIRINGS TO LIMIT SIGNS OF AGING- ACHIEVING RADIANT/GLOWING SKIN
"I love the Ordinary Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%. Both ingredients are at a 3% concentration, which is really rare. I haven't found a serum like this where you get both the ferulic and Resveratrol at 3% in one formulation. [...] This is a very powerful antioxidant serum on its own, so if you can't use vitamin C or a vitamin C derivative, I would say try this and use this on its own. [...] You can also pair this up with a retinol and tronA if your skin can handle that pairing. This could cause a little bit of tingling sensation to your skin. I experienced this when I first started with it, but as my skin became used to this serum, I don't experience that anymore. [...] If you pair this [...] immediately with your vitamin C and you do experience that tingling sensation, just know that it's coming from this. You might want to keep them separate for a while, maybe alternate your mornings, or use this at night and the vitamin C in the morning until your skin adjusts, and then eventually pair them up together."
RESULTS GUARANTEED! 4 POWERFUL RETINOL/TRETINOIN PAIRINGS THAT WORK TO MAXIMIZE RESULTS!
"Now, I'm choosing this product because this is absolutely amazing. This is The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% plus Ferulic Acid 3%. Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant. And the one from The Ordinary is at a 3% concentration. So, that is really high. Honestly, I haven't found too many products on the market that are at a 3% concentration here. So, when I first started using this back several years ago, I did experience a little bit of that tingling sensation to my skin. But, as I became more consistent with it, my skin adjusted and I don't experience that anymore. So, if that happens to you, just know that that is quite common. You might want to start with a couple of days a week and then slowly increase your usage from there. So, this is an antioxidant support serum that can help to fight off free radicals, which is everyday pollution, and it really does improve the overall complexion of your skin. I just absolutely love this serum from The Ordinary. This is also a very underrated product from The Ordinary. I don't hear a lot of people talking about this."
THE ORDINARY'S BEST ANTI-AGING SERUMS | THESE ARE LEGIT AND THEY DO WORK! ACHIEVE MAXIMUM RESULTS!
"This really is one of the best antioxidants from The Ordinary. There is a little bit of a thickness to it, it almost has like an oily feel even though this is oil free, it still has that feeling, but once you apply it to your skin and it dries down you don't get that feeling anymore. It's just that initial application. With makeup and sunscreen I've never had an issue with pilling."
DECIEM SALE 2024 | MUST HAVE PRODUCTS YOU NEED FROM THE ORDINARY, NIOD & LOOPHA - SINCERELY MISS ASH
"The other wonderful antioxidant that I love and that is also very underrated - I did mention this in my most underrated products from The Ordinary - this is the Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%. This is a very high potency formulation that is no joke. If you're new to this you could experience dryness and irritation. That tingling sensation - when I first started using this several years ago I did have that tingling sensation. I do recall my skin being a little drier, feeling a little tighter. But once my skin became accustomed to this, I don't even experience that anymore. And it's wonderful to use to target fine lines and wrinkles. It also has anti-inflammatory properties to it. It's great to give that brighter complexion, to protect the skin from everyday pollution. But it's really great to target fine lines and I love it - very, very underrated, it's a hidden gem. Let's say you can't use vitamin C or other types of actives because your skin is just too sensitive - then this is a great product to use as an alternative. And as long as you can be consistent, then of course you're going to see amazing results. I know I keep saying that, but I'm telling you consistency is key - it really is. And if you decide to use this with retinol with tretinoin, you can definitely use this with your retinols. You can use this with your vitamin C serum, whether it's a derivative or a pure form of vitamin C."

"Using Resveratrol plus ferulic, my skin did have a little bit of a tingling sensation at first and I do believe I had a little bit of dryness with that product as well, so maybe start slow and gradually increase just to see how your skin does. But now that I have been using Resveratrol for quite a while, like several years, my skin doesn't react to it anymore and my skin just looks so glowy when I use it."
THE ORDINARY'S TOP 3 BEST ANTI-AGING SERUMS | YOU NEED TO TRY THESE STAT! SINCERELY MISS ASH
"It's a very high potency antioxidant serum from The Ordinary that is very underrated. I haven't found another product on the market that compares to this yet. This has both 3% for each. I haven't found another product that offers that. You might see 1% ferulic acid and maybe 1% resveratrol or maybe 0.5% resveratrol, but no one offers 3% for each. This is amazing for signs of aging. Resveratrol is the ingredient that will help to soften fine lines and help with skin brightness. There's anti-inflammatory properties to resveratrol, so it's going to help reduce the look of facial redness. It has the ability to protect the skin from everyday pollution and help with skin repair. Ferulic acid can help protect the skin from everyday pollution as well."
THE ORDINARY & NIOD SALE 2025 | TOP 17 ANTI-AGING PRODUCTS + THE PRODUCTS THAT ALWAYS SELL OUT!
"The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% is very underrated and I have been using this serum on and off for several years. This is one of the best antioxidant serums I have ever used. This is truly the best from The Ordinary if I had to pick because this is very powerful and another great alternative option for those that can't use vitamin C serums. But even if you have a favorite vitamin C serum, you can actually use this with your vitamin C serum. [...] Great to use every day, twice a day. You can actually use this with tretinoin, before retinol or before retinaldehyde. You can use this with a lot of things. This is going to help protect and shield your skin from pollution. It's also great to brighten the skin, target texture, and uneven skin tone. So if you have post acne marks, dark spots, dullness, this will truly liven up your skin and it really does a good job. Because it's both at a 3% concentration, this is quite powerful. So if you are new to this, you may experience a bit of dryness at first and tightness of the skin. But as you get using this, that should subside."

DECIEM SALE 2023 | MUST HAVE PRODUCTS YOU NEED! THE ORDINARY & NIOD SALE
"This is another antioxidant that they have in their collection. This one works better to address fine lines and to really brighten up your complexion. I like to pair this up with my vitamin C serum. I also like to use this occasionally with the neod survival zero, or I will use this with my prescription Tran in my nighttime skincare routine. This is something that you can use with multiple ingredients. You can use this once a day or twice a day. Just know that this could cause a little bit of dryness, maybe a slight tingling sensation to your skin. When I first started using this a few years back, I did experience that, and it only lasted for a short time. So I gradually built up my usage with this, but you may not experience that. I just wanted to make sure that I mention it because it is quite common. So start slow and then of course work your way up, depending on how frequent you want to be with it. But it is something that you can use daily, and it really is effective for signs of aging. I haven't found anything like this, especially at a 3% concentration for both the Ferulic and Resveratrol, and this is a high potency."
TOP 7 BEST PERFORMING ORDINARY SKINCARE PRODUCTS - THE ULTIMATE GUIDE FOR ANTI-AGING "REAL RESULTS"
"This is the Resveratrol 3% plus Ferulic Acid 3%. These are both at a 3% concentration which makes this serum very powerful and potent. I haven't used anything like this before. I believe this is like the only serum that I've seen on the market that has the 3% for each. Sometimes you will see a ferulic acid at a 0.5% maybe a 1% but I haven't seen anything like this yet. [...] This is going to provide antioxidant support to protect our skin from the environment, from pollution. It's going to brighten the skin. Great if you have a dull complexion, if you have post acne marks, discoloration, and this is also great to help prevent and soften fine lines and wrinkles. This is very powerful. So, if you're new to this, I would say start with a couple of days a week and gradually increase from there because this serum could cause dryness and irritation. When I first started with this many years ago, my skin felt tight. I did experience a little bit of dryness, but then as I got using it more and more, I don't experience that anymore."
5 ULTIMATE TRETINOIN PAIRINGS TO LIMIT SKIN IRRITATION AND SIGNS OF AGING | MAXIMIZE YOUR RESULTS!
"I really love The Ordinary Resveratrol plus Ferulic Acid. Both adding 3%, but this is very different to the Alleys of Skin. This has a watery, oily type of texture. This isn't as hydrating and as plumping. Honestly, it doesn't even compare for hydration. This is more for anti-aging and more for brightening the skin and protecting it from pollution. This is your true antioxidant serum. So, if you are looking for something like that, then you could put this on prior to your other products and you're good to go. But if you need more of that moisture and that repair, then this isn't where it comes in."
THESE ARE THE TOP 5 MOST UNDERRATED ORDINARY PRODUCTS THAT NO ONE TALKS ABOUT - SINCERELY MISS ASH
"This serum is amazing for signs of aging, to target fine lines and wrinkles and to protect your skin from everyday pollution. I like to pair this up with other types of antioxidant products, whether it's another serum, a facial mist, a moisturizer that contains antioxidants, or maybe your sunscreen has antioxidant ingredients in it as well. When you use all of these products together it really helps to shield your skin from everyday pollution. So I like this more so in my morning routine because of that reason. But this serum can be used morning as well as evening if your skin can tolerate twice a day. I would start with once a day first, maybe a few times per week to start, because when I first started using this back several years ago, my skin would tingle when I would put this on my skin. And as I became more accustomed to it, I don't experience that anymore. So just be careful because this is at a 3% concentration for both resveratrol and ferulic acid, two powerful antioxidants. And I truly haven't found another product that is a dupe to this. Like there isn't another product that compares."
THE ORDINARY & NIOD SALE 2023 | I SPLURGED ONCE AGAIN AND THIS IS WHAT I PURCHASED!
"It's a great antioxidant serum that will address signs of aging but it will also help brighten your complexion as well. This is really, really effective for softening fine lines. This is the best for signs of aging in my opinion. Both ingredients are at a 3% concentration, which is really rare, you don't see that with other brands, so this is a very high potency formulation. You may only want to start with a couple of days a week and then gradually increase from there. When I first started using this back several years ago, I did experience a little bit of dryness and tightness with my skin, but I don't experience that anymore because my skin is accustomed to it. Start slow and work your way up just to be safe."

"Resveratrol and EUK 134 both are antioxidants and in your routine using an antioxidant is ideal. Both of these are in hydrous serums, which means they have an oil-based kind of a feeling so these will go after your multipeptide. You don't have to use too much of it, just two to three drops, take it onto your face, apply it everywhere, and this is going to make your skin feel really soft, really smooth, and it is going to hydrate your skin."

"I also love that they included the ferulic acid in there. It's not as greasy as I remember it, it's more silky than I remember it so I kind of like it more than I thought I did. I know this is probably my maybe third bottle of it."

"Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% from The Ordinary, top tier, top tier. It's one of my favorite antioxidant combinations of all time if you're going for a pure antioxidant and you just want two extraordinary ones. [...] The funny thing is I always forget this product is slightly yellowy tinged to begin with and I always wonder because I don't use it very frequently when I pull it off the shelf if it's gone bad, but it is outstanding. There are a lot of studies head-to-head with antioxidants and there are just a lot of good ones, so if you're going for a purely antioxidant ingredient with potential to help with your sunscreen, help with your protection for your skin, yes, Resveratrol is great. Is it better than vitamin C? Probably not, but only because it doesn't have the supporting, complimenting benefits."
Yay
"Resveratrol is really well known as an antioxidant that helps to stabilize pure vitamin C, another antioxidant ascorbic acid. The additional benefit of ferulic acid is that it helps to protect the skin against photo damage, against damage from the Sun. These two key antioxidants together in these high quantities right, 3% of both Resveratrol and ferulic acid, really do have that protective ability against the damages of UV rays. The Ordinary creates these really potent high percentage antioxidant serums without any water. They do believe that water does destabilize the antioxidant action of the ingredient, and so they actually choose not to use any water. [...] It does create quite an oil-like texture but it does have a lightweight feel with an oil-like slip to it. It has really good absorbancy, almost feels a bit like a dry oil on the skin. It absorbs really fast. There's really not like a big greasy layer on top. It's not going to leave you super duper shiny. There's just a little bit of shine but it's not like a heavy grease layer on top of your skin and it feels fairly lightweight with good absorbency."

"A product that I personally like and use, not sponsored by this company at all, is the ordinary's three percent resveratrol with three percent ferulic acid, another antioxidant. That product is like nine bucks for a dropper bottle full and works well. I tolerate it and I like it because it's relatively inexpensive, it seems to be logically formulated, and I've had good success with many of the ordinary's products, so that's why I like it. A word of caution though, you do not need a lot, you only need a few drops, and you can spread it on the surface of the skin very easily. With a product like this it is on the acidic side, so it can be irritating for you, so be really conservative in the volume that you use."
