What the gurus are saying

The multi-antioxidant formula earns consistent praise for fading hyperpigmentation, though reviewers point out it won't deliver the instant radiance marketing suggests. It's lightweight, unscented, and alcohol-free, making it friendly for those sensitive to traditional vitamin C serums while also working cleanly under other products without pilling. Absorption speed varies, so if quick absorption matters to your routine, patch-test first.

"This one's just super lightweight, but it's got some nice antioxidants as well, which make it a really nice daytime serum to use underneath your moisturizer and sunscreen. If you're sensitive to vitamin C, this is a nice way to get some antioxidants in your morning routine without some of the irritation. For the vitamin C in here, we've got ascorbyl glucoside. We've also got EGCG, which is a great antioxidant. We've got the thymulin 4 peptide that's supposed to help with skin regeneration, ginseng extract, which is a great antioxidant. We've got silver ear mushroom extract, and then we've also got bixa seed extract, which is another strong antioxidant. It's really nice."

"Their newest multi-antioxidant serum also looks lackluster and not nearly as exciting as it might have been if it been designed and released by somebody else with passion instead of just sheer passion for money for money's sake."
Best Anti-Aging Daytime Serums 🎉🙌💕 Protect Your Skin From Aging & Up Your Anti-Aging Game
"It's just watery, absorbs quickly, a little bit of it goes a long way, it's really easy to fit in. Would I use this on its own as an antioxidant serum? Maybe. Depends on how much ginseng is really in here. I have a feeling not that much. And given the price, there's a lot of really good ginseng products and they're a little bit more expensive. But yeah, this one's nice with other products. So that's the caveat or the asterisk at the end of the sentence. I like it with other products."
The Ordinary 🆕 New! Multi-Antioxidant Radiance Serum with Vitamin C & Ginseng Review, How to, Dupes
"It contains no types of alcohol and has no scent or fragrance at all, which I think a lot of people might actually like because a lot of vitamin C serums that use ascorbic acid tend to have a smell which some people don't like too much. This one doesn't use ascorbic acid, so therefore it has no scent and no added ingredients. It's really nice, super lightweight. A little bit of it goes a long way. It absorbs really quickly and sets to a natural finish, super easy to use, not greasy at all. Not dewy, not matte. It's perfectly neutral in terms of how it applies, so I think it'll be friendly for most skin types. You can apply it with a cotton pad, but if you just apply it directly from the dropper to your skin, I think that's the way to go personally. It feels really nice. It works well under other moisturizers and under sunscreen. Super easy to use. It's enjoyable, actually."

"It's got ginseng in there. It's a nice daytime serum. You can probably add it into any routine pretty easily because it's pretty watery. It soaks in pretty nicely, so you can use it in your morning routine or where you would want a nice brightening serum. It's really nice. You can fit it in pretty easily without any issues, and it has no scent. So it's really nice for that."

New Skincare Products First Impressions - New from The Ordinary, The Inkey List, Skinfix, Topicals
"You know, if you'd use this would you still use vitamin C serum? It seems like the texture would allow me to put another serum over it because it's not too greasy, it's not too shiny. My skin is pretty dry but I feel like I could still use this in the morning. Apply a few drops morning and evening. It feels nice, no scent and nice matte finish."

"It's got eight different technologies in here, one of which is ginseng, and I'm a huge ginseng fan so I was really curious to see how this would go. It's got a bit of a yellow color and no smell, which is really good for those of you that don't like the hanbang scent in a lot of ginseng products out of Korea. It's more watery than I thought it would be, but it feels very viscous going onto the skin, so it sits a bit on the surface, it's one of those slower absorbing serums. That's okay to me, I can wait a little longer in between steps for my products to absorb, but if that's a dealbreaker for you that's where you might want to look into the next price range. I love this new direction of The Ordinary, eight different technologies all in one place for fourteen dollars."

10 NEW ORDINARY PRODUCTS RANKED - SOME ACTUALLY SURPRISED ME | NEWEST LAUNCHES EXPLAINED & REVIEWED
"I'm not reaching for this often because I'm just using so many other things where I'm seeing great results, so I never think to incorporate this in my routine. But if I am experiencing a lot of post-acne marks and I really want to help fade those and brighten my skin up to create more even skin tone, then sometimes I incorporate this alongside my favorite vitamin C and the way I go. It's very hydrating. It never pills with skincare products. You can use this morning and/or evening, and it's great for all skin types. I find this to be quite gentle. I'm going to rate this an 8 out of 10."

"This never gets spoken about when it comes to hyperpigmentation, but antioxidants are great at fading it because they protect the skin from oxidative stress and premature aging, both triggers for hyperpigmentation, and certain antioxidants have great brightening benefits too. This is one of the cleverest formulated antioxidant serums I've ever used, and it's one of the unsung heroes from The Ordinary collection that nobody talks about, which is a crying shame because it genuinely works. It has vitamin C, a great potent pigment corrector when used alongside other ingredients, plus a range of other antioxidants that all focus on brightening and fading hyperpigmentation. You can swap out whatever antioxidant serum you're using at the moment for this and you'll maintain the antioxidant benefits but also get the hyperpigmentation fighting too. It's really good, and it's really inexpensive, the cheapest option I've mentioned today."

THE ORDINARY RADIANCE SERUM - What Were They Thinking
"So I enjoy the results, however I've yet to see any boost to luminosity or radiance from using this product. And the antioxidants that they've chosen aren't my personal favorites. Now I think with a product like this you really do have to use it for the long term to see those results. One of the cons is the marketing around it. I think if you read any of the information given by The Ordinary or any of their sponsored reviews online, a lot of people are saying this is almost going to be like an instant boost to radiance. I've even heard people say literally after one use my skin was transformed. That's not going to happen. I don't know why anyone would put that out there. It's just not going to happen. There is nothing in here that's going to give an instant boost to radiance. There's also nothing that's really going to help in the immediate short term to boost luminosity. These are all payoffs that you're going to get in the long term. And I think some of the marketing around it is a little bit misleading and could be overhyping expectations, which just leads to disappointment for me. Great product but you're going to really have to invest to see those results. And I'm now at the two and a bit week mark and I haven't seen any increase in radiance as a result of this yet. I think it will come but I'd say set your expectations right. Another con for me with this is the fact that you don't know the concentrations on everything. Now I love The Ordinary because they're fully transparent, but this contains a vitamin C derivative, one of my favorites which is ascorbyl glucoside, a wonderful glow-enhancing vitamin C derivative, but they haven't said what strength is actually in here. That's a shame because The Ordinary always put their percentages on everything."
$10 Miracle Serum - FADE HYPERPIGMENTATION FAST
"The multi-antioxidant Radiance Serum, it's already getting so much hype online and it's been praised as like the ultimate hyperpigmentation treatment and luminosity enhancer. Yes, it will do all of that honestly. I think when it comes to products from the ordinary that are going to deliver you some next level hyperpigmentation action, it's the alfatin 2% that really is going to deliver that. You can actually use the new multi-antioxidant serum and the alpha arbutin together to double down on the benefits."
SKINCARE LIVE - Chat, Giveaways, Skincare Gossip and more
"So the ordinary launched their new antioxidant brightening serum. Based on the ingredients list I thought it was okay but nothing groundbreakingly amazing. However, the last time I said that about an ordinary serum was their aloe serum which I then grew to absolutely love and think it's one of their best, so I think sometimes we can be very quick to judge on an ingredients list and make a rash decision on something before we've actually tried it. I don't think it's going to be one of their strongest products just based on the ingredients list, but like I say I said that about the aloe and I loved it, so I'm maybe not the best judge of first impressions. It's got a couple of good antioxidants in and unique antioxidants, so it's not just the usual ones that you can get in any product. I like the fact it's innovative, I like the fact it's a bit different. I'm just not sold on where the brightening is necessarily going to come in. I think it's going to be a good antioxidant, which is a good part of a skincare routine, that's just my thoughts, but I'm going to reserve judgment and try it."
THE ORDINARY SECRET SERUMS - 5 Serums Could Change Everything!
"It's a really easy product to use. It works alongside everything else in your routine. And if you already have an antioxidant that you love, you can either use this alongside it or you can use it in place of it. This is a great way of elevating your antioxidant game, particularly if your key focus from your skincare is radiance and luminosity. This would be a no-brainer to reach for. I love it. I use it every single day and my skin just adores it. It's super inexpensive, too. It's a great blend of really well thought through antioxidants that I think just deliver that glow that we're all secretly chasing. This multi-antioxidant radiance serum is honestly a great place to start."
MOVE OVER VITAMIN C - This Hyperpigmentation Serum Blew Me Away
"The Ordinary Multi-Antioxidant Radiance Serum with Vitamin C & Ginseng has a similar peptide profile to the Medik8 one, and it does use antioxidants known for their brightening properties. I don't think this is as advanced as the Medik8 one, but it still really does work. I've been using this as part of my skincare routine for some time, and this has always always delivered for me. I think it's a really nice affordable option, particularly now because The Ordinary have a 23% off sale. I don't think it's as good as the Medik8, but I think it's 75% of the way there, and it's super affordable. It's great for hyperpigmentation, particularly post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation such as post acne or sun damage related hyperpigmentation."
IS IT ALL OVER FOR THE ORDINARY - Sales Fall, Flop Launches, Cancelled Products
"They have their multi-antioxidant radiance serum. Another fab new launch which whilst a little bit more niche like with that lip exfoliator is still great if you're using it correctly and you have skin that can benefit from it."
THE ORDINARY - Reviewing All Their New Products (This Is Their Flop Era)
"They use antioxidants carefully selected in order to boost radiance and luminosity. It's a two-in-one. It is a powerhouse. Super gentle, but genuinely delivers. So, I'd say if you've got sensitive skin, but you want extra glow and you don't want to go in with exfoliators and harsh actives, this could be a really nice option to go for. I love it. It's got a blend of different antioxidants chosen for their ability to brighten the skin. If you're looking for something to add to your routine to just increase luminosity, that's a really inexpensive way of doing it."
Major Hyperpigmentation Breakthrough - WORLDS STRONGEST DARK SPOT SERUM
"This never gets spoken about when it comes to hyperpigmentation, but antioxidants are great at fading it because they protect the skin from oxidative stress and premature aging, both triggers for hyperpigmentation, and certain antioxidants have great brightening benefits too.
