Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution.

"I'm starting off strong with The Ordinary 7% Glycolic Acid Toning Solution. This chemical exfoliant, if I could drink it, I would. It's everyone's favorite for a reason, and on the body it works wonders. The pH The Ordinary formulates it at is amazing for the body because that 7% is optimal for your body to handle. Glycolic acid helps speed up cell turnover, fading hyperpigmentation, smoothing KP texture, and brightening overall. Since adding this to my routine it has been night and day because nothing else was working. For KP specifically, chemical exfoliation is fundamentally more effective than physically scrubbing, because KP is caused by a buildup of keratin around hair follicles and glycolic acid dissolves that buildup. I apply it to dry skin after showering, let it absorb, and don't rinse it off. I honestly can't say enough good things about the Ordinary Glycolic Acid. It has made such a huge difference in my overall skin."

"The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution retails for about $13 for 8 ounces, a pretty big bottle that lasts a long time. I [...] really think there's no other $13 product that does this many things for this many people. It's an alpha hydroxy acid that loosens the bonds between dead skin cells and the surface so they shed more efficiently, and with consistent use it smooths rough texture, brightens dull skin, improves skin tone, and can help with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The formula is watery and lightweight and stronger than it looks, people underestimate it because it doesn't foam up or tingle dramatically, but it's doing real work. I'd use it on the face one to two nights a week in place of retinol, and neck down [...] it's one of the best exfoliants out there [...] for keratosis pilaris, rough elbows, knees, heels, [...] ingrown hairs after waxing or shaving, [...] body acne and post-acne marks on the chest and back, and [...] scalp buildup and [...] flakiness. Overexfoliating is a common problem that can damage your skin barrier, I wouldn't use it on freshly shaved skin, I wouldn't apply it to large areas of the body every day, especially alongside retinoids or other actives, and sun sensitivity is real, so you need to [...] wear SPF on any area [...] you use it on."

"I personally love the one from The Ordinary, their 7% glycolic acid, their exfoliating toner. When I initially started using this product, I would use it as a toner for my face to get rid of like dead skin cells. But this product is such a powerhouse, guys. And I don't think that I'll stop recommending it anytime soon. So I use this on my face sometimes and I remember like I told you guys already that I had bumps on my chest. I used this product and it got rid of all those bumps. Now one part of the body where I think that people have spoken about this before, but just in case you've not heard, this is a very good product to use on your immediate underarms because if you use deodorant and you're just very active, we tend to actually accumulate dead skin cells in that area."

"If you're just picking up a random skincare product like The Ordinary's glycolic acid toner, for example, and trying to use it in the skin folds where it was never meant to go because that's just not how that product is meant to be used, you can get significant irritation. Glycolic acid will help acidify the skin pH, but it can be super irritating. It's an exfoliant especially in the skin folds and ultimately if you get a lot of irritation that leads to barrier compromise and can cause you as a result to have more issues with odor due to now the differences in the skin microbiome."

"I have been using The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner for years now, both on my face for gentle exfoliation and on my body. It isn't completely see through, has the color of white tea or diluted apple juice, a very watery texture, and a faint musky scent straight out of the bottle that dissipates quickly. The twist cap is great for controlling how much product comes out. Despite being called a daily exfoliant, I personally used it only two to three times a week, especially in winter when my skin is more sensitive, though depending on the rest of your routine using it daily or multiple times a week might work. I apply it with my palms rather than cotton pads since pads absorb too much product. The main ingredient is Glycolic Acid, with a pH of 3.6 according to the brand, which is good, plus humectants like glycerin and natural moisturizing factors such as urea and sodium PCA and sugars, some plant extracts for antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and amino acids that help with hydration and healing. It's a straightforward formula without much extra fluff. It won't give the same drastic results as a stronger peeling product, but it is much harder to overdo and works great against texture with regular use. Some people recommend it against acne, but while it helps with leftover texture and medication, it wouldn't be my first choice for that. For me this is a great one against texture and a good supporting act against stubborn hyperpigmentation, and due to its versatility a valuable addition to your skincare stash."

"This is a 7% glycolic acid and it works like magic. The nozzle top really helps to get it into the areas that you want to apply it on your scalp. You let it sit before you shower, allowing the glycolic acid [...] to dissolve those bonds between the dead skin cells and help your skin exfoliate itself, but also hydrate your scalp in the process. If you're itchy and really dry, this is something I would really strongly recommend because in the long run it's also going to help retain the moisture on your scalp so it doesn't get as dry as easily. "The Ordinary 7% glycolic acid toner is really popular on social media. It claims that it doesn't have any fragrances in there or anything that harms the skin. It's good for patients that maybe are lighter skin types that want that little bit more of a cleanse. [...] I know that skincare by hm has really discounted this product mainly because of the Rosa damasa within there, which is a fragrant essential oil. [...] It's a little bit higher up on the ingredients list but not many patients would report a lot of sensitivity with it. "This is the Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, a toner that you can use on the face or even on the scalp. This is amazing and it is 7% so it is intense; you shouldn't necessarily use this every day, but from the application to the formula to the price this is just great. Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid and it's one of the smallest ones so it can actually penetrate pretty deep, helps to exfoliate but doesn't dehydrate the skin the way that something like a BHA might. This is especially great for people with dry skin who want to exfoliate. With any acid you need to use a sunscreen during the day and you need to use a moisturizer after or a good one at night. This can really help to brighten the skin, it can help to remove dead skin cells and buildup, and it works great for dry skin but also for oily skin. I have an oily scalp and I love using this on my scalp. This is a phenomenal choice from The Ordinary, but you should use it at night, not during the day because it is an acid, so always use it in the evening and then sunscreen responsibly the next day."

"One of the most affordable topical glycolic acid preparations that I have used is by The Ordinary and it's their 7% Glycolic Acid Toning Solution. This is super cost-effective you get a pretty large bottle for under $15. I don't typically use this on my face because it feels a little bit too spicy to use on my face but I think it's amazing for your body. You can actually buy a little spray top from Amazon and attach it to this bottle and then just spray it on the body and then go in with whatever lotion you like afterward."

"I do not use this on my face, but this has become part of my body skincare routine for a good year and a bit now, and I've purchased these over and over. I use this for my armpits. My armpits got quite dark from use of certain deodorants, and when a product has caused that kind of darkening of the skin, I feel like I need to fix that. I've been using this on and off for like a year and a bit now, and my armpits are like one color now but smooth and even. Once or twice a week I'll use this, sometimes with deodorant, sometimes not. This does stop the smell. I won't smell for like a day and a half after using it, and it will keep my armpits fresh no matter what I do. I'll also use this on my dry knees and it's great. "The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner is seven percent, though it doesn't really feel like a seven percent glycolic acid product. I have mixed feelings on this because it's a bit strong and a lot of people end up over using this and then burning their skin. However, I think it is really good for people who want a stronger chemical exfoliant and it is such good value. It is a huge bottle. I've actually been using this on other parts of my body. I've been using it under my arms as a deodorant. Some people also use it on their scalp to exfoliate their scalp. This is a good product as long as you're using it properly and you're not drowning your face in it. I actually can't think of another chemical exfoliant that is this budget friendly and I think that is rare enough that it can go under Holy Grail."
