"Squalane and amino acids are the two key ingredients in the formulation. Squalane is very hydrating, this helps to soften the skin, but also it provides barrier support which is what we need when it comes to the lips, and amino acids provides long-lasting hydration. I use the amino acids serum pretty much every day and it's a great hydrating serum, so I put it all over my face as well as my neck. When my lips are a little dry and they feel tight and uncomfortable I will actually put the amino acids serum on my lips because I'm so impressed with how much hydration it provides my skin. It's nice to see that this has the amino acids and it does work and perform the same as the serum, and then of course the squalane for that barrier support but also to soften the skin and to provide extra hydration. This is actually a multi-use balm so you can use this on your lips but you can also use this on other areas as well. The Ordinary recommends for you to use this on your cuticles, which I have done a couple of times and it actually made them quite soft, but I feel like you would get better results if you were to apply this every day or a few times per day. Once every couple of days I don't feel like it's going to do much."

You don't have to put this much - you can just put four or five drops. But I do like to be generous with it because I love the way my skin looks and feels every time I use it, especially when my skin is feeling tight and dry. It really takes my skin to the next level. "The Ordinary Amino Acids is great for hydration. If you have very dryness prone skin, particularly in the cooler winter months, this is where my skin starts to go through it. Just slip this in. I mix a couple of drops in with my moisturizer, and it just gives you that extra plumping, that extra hydration. It's really easy. You don't need to do it as a separate step. Just put a few drops into the palm of your hand, add your moisturizer in, mix it in, and it kind of supercharges your moisturizer. So that's a cheeky little hack that I would give to everyone. Supercharge your moisturizer by buying the Ordinary Amino Acids and that way you don't need to spend money on like La Mer or the bougie rich moisturizers out there. Just up your moisturizer game for those cooler winter months by adding a couple of drops of this. It's that good and I recommend it to everybody."

"I love this. I've actually run out. I've been clinging on just waiting for this sale before I put it on order. And this is my winter skin care savior. If you're somebody that has very dryness prone skin, particularly in the cooler winter months, get this because it's the surefire way to supercharge your moisturizer. Get you whatever moisturizer works for you. But if you feel that it needs a little bit of extra hydration in the winter months, just add a couple of drops of The Ordinary Amino Acids to it. I'll put some moisturizer in the palm of my hand. Two drops of The Ordinary Amino Acids. Mix it together and apply it to the skin. This will really take your moisturizer to the next level. And it's just a really inexpensive way of getting some extra hydration in your life. You can use it on the face, you can use it on the body. Some people choose to use it neat, you know, direct from the dropper straight to the face, which you can do. I mix it in with my moisturizer because I feel that that gives the very best application. But this again was an absolute no-brainer when it came to purchasing it. I've only put two on order because I tend only to use it in the cooler winter months, which is when my skin needs it. But if you're someone that's dryness prone year round, this might be something you stock up on."
