It is so dang potent. It is so strong. This is an aggressive form of AHA. Glycolic acid itself is one of the strongest, fastest acting, most potent version of AHA that you can use. Lactic acid is gentler. [Mandelic] acid is gentler. But it is also one that can cause a lot of sensitivity on the skin. I use glycolic acid products today that are about 15%, so half of the percentage of this product from The Ordinary, and it stings. It feels like little pin pricks on my skin. And that's actually normal. That is common. That is to be expected when you use glycolic acid at high percentages. Even at 15% pin prick sensations are normal. So at 30% double like my goodness, we're getting almost into a professional percentage where things can go wrong very quickly."

It's a chemical peeling mask with the highest concentration of alpha hydroxy acids and beta hydroxy acids that you can get over the counter, so there's a lot of room for things to go wrong, but this can make an amazing body exfoliant if you use it properly. I've been doing this for at least a year and nothing has gone wrong, and I'm in love with it. It exfoliates the knees and elbows, helps them glow, and because it has these alpha hydroxy acids it also helps to kind of moisturize those areas. It works so well on the legs if you get ingrown hairs and stubbles. It's fantastic on the back and on the chest if you have sun spots, hyperpigmentation, active acne and scars. I have active acne all down my back and this is fantastic for anyone who struggles with that. When it comes to this bottle it has 30 milliliters or one fluid ounce of product and I can actually do two to three whole body head to toe coverings of this before I run out, and considering that this entire bottle is under ten dollars it's actually a really good bang for your buck when you think about how much a traditional chemical peel would cost elsewhere."
