What the gurus are saying

Gurus largely praise this sunscreen for its hydrating formula and affordable price, with particular enthusiasm for polyglutamic acid as a superior alternative to hyaluronic acid. The texture earns consistent compliments as dewy, lightweight, and non-irritating even around eyes. The main split is on finish: some find it greasy or uncomfortable, while most describe it as pleasantly dewy. One reviewer with rosacea experienced irritation from an unknown chemical UV filter, a relevant caution for sensitive skin.

"My least favorite is the Polyglutamic Acid Dewy Sunscreen, which is an SPF 30. This is a perfect example of what I mean by not making a really objectively bad product, it just didn't work for me. I was really looking forward to trying it. It's got polyglutamic acid in it, which is super hydrating, soothing green tea, rice extract in it, all things my skin usually loves, but unfortunately this time around my rosacea did not enjoy this at all. It hates one of these UV filters. I'm not sure which one. This isn't an Inky List thing, it's a chemical sunscreen thing for me. But if you want a sunscreen that's not going to dry your skin down, it doesn't smell alcohol-heavy, it doesn't sting your eyes, it doesn't sting your skin, and you don't have rosacea, I would give this one a try. It's a really nice sunscreen. It just feels like a nice quenching moisturizer. Unfortunately, my rosacea was not having it."

How To Get Glass Skin | GLASS SKINCARE ROUTINE | Achieve Flawless Skin with Dr. Somji & Dr. Solomon
"Polyglutamic acid, you can get from The Inky List, and when we done our research it actually attracts 10 times more water than hyaluronic acid, so it's even better than hyaluronic acid. It's like one of those unknown ingredients that are a must for glass skin because that's what you want to do in this outer layer is attract as much water as possible, and polyglutamic acid can do that quite nicely. You're going to use your SPF minimum like 30 as we always talk about that block 95% of UVA and UVB rays as well as blue light as well which is really important, and that's also going to have some hydration attached to it as well because you want a sunscreen that's going to be hydrated."

"There are also some sunscreens that are made by some amazing people. The Inky List is made by Mark and Colette. They actually used to be co-workers and they fell in love and they created The Inky List to literally help people with their skin to be affordable and effective."

"The first product that I absolutely love is by The Inky List and this is the Polyglutamic Acid. The reason why I love this one so much is because you can use this multiple ways. You can use this as the very last serum in your skincare routine before your moisturizer and your sunscreen, so this is going to act as that sealant to lock in the hydration from all of your previous serums that you applied before this. This is going to be plumping and hydrating. Let's say you have somewhere special to go and you don't plan on wearing sunscreen, maybe you're going out for the evening, then this would be perfect in replacement of your moisturizer. Apply all of your serums before use this as the very last product in your skincare routine then go in with your makeup on top of this and you get a really nice effect to your makeup. You get that longevity but you also have this really nice layer of foundation all over it. It just smooths everything out for your foundation and everything just applies so nicely on top of this."

IF I COULD ONLY PICK 1 PRODUCT FROM MY FAVORITE SKINCARE BRANDS | FYI...THIS WAS REALLY HARD!
"The Inky List polyglutamic acid is a very underrated product that nobody talks about. If you love hyaluronic acid, you're going to love this because it's very similar to hyaluronic acid but polyglutamic acid holds on to four times more moisture than hyaluronic acid. If you're looking for that serum that is really hydrating and plumping but also something that acts as a sealant to lock in the hydration from your other serums, your essence, your facial mist, then this is great to use every day twice a day. You want to use this as the very last serum in your skincare routine before your moisturizer and your sunscreen. This is basically going to lock in the hydration from your serums. The texture of this is thicker than a watery serum, it does have that thickness to it, but I've never experienced pilling with this. I get the most beautiful plumped look to my skin. It looks bouncy, it looks juicy, and I'm all about that. This is a wonderful product from The Inky List."

"I tried their sunscreen, it's like SPF 30 which is fine, I mean SPF 30 is fine, but it's just basically greasy. And I got my skin, my friend with a dry skin type to try because I thought maybe it's not translating well, but she was like, oh this is gross, terrible sunscreen."

"The Inky List actually sent me this sunscreen to try a couple months ago and I love it. I absolutely love this brand because not only are they affordable but they are so transparent, they're ingredients driven, and it really goes to show people that you can get results with skincare without overspending. This is the Polyglutamic Acid Dewy Sunscreen SPF 30. It is a chemical based sunscreen but it has zero white cast on."

Anti-aging Routine on a BUDGET! | The Budget Dermatologist
"My newest favorite this summer is the Polyglutamic Acid Dewy Sunscreen SPF 30. It has a lot of hydrating ingredients in it too which helps give it that healthy dewy look. It has polyglutamic acid, squalane, and glycerin. It's very lightweight and has no white cast because it is chemical filter based. I've been wearing this a lot outdoors this summer to Disney, the beach, all over, and it's done a wonderful job. This one is only 14.99, which is an incredible price for a sunscreen, and it is one of my absolute top budget pick sunscreens this year at this price point."

"This is a non-tinted chemical based sunscreen with zero white cast on the skin. The polyglutamic acid ingredient is the focus of this product and it's what really makes this unique. Polyglutamic acid you can think of it like a hyaluronic acid but it holds four times more water, so the focus of this sunscreen is really to hydrate the skin as it protects you from UV damage. Many sunscreens, especially zinc based sunscreens, are so drying on the skin, but you will find that that is not the case with this one because of that polyglutamic acid. It also has squalane and glycerin in it, so those three ingredients together really pack on dehydration in the skin. I really love this one for all skin types, dried, combination skin, even mature skin. It is really good. I have more dry skin type so this really helps with dehydration. The Inky List is so transparent with their ingredients, which I love. They always tell us the percentages that are in this product, which is so helpful when I'm judging products to determine if they're going to work for my skin type."

This sunscreen is clean, vegan, and fragrance-free, which are really important for a lot of people, including me when I am choosing products. The texture is light to mid-weight. It is a little bit dewy and refreshing as a finish. It is not shimmery or radiant. It's just dewy, a healthy glow, and absolutely no like zero."

"This one really blends in to the skin well. I actually get it pretty close on the lower lid and I have not gotten any irritation around my eyes with this. I cannot tolerate many sunscreens that close to my eye, but this one is really good. I love this one for being outside when you might be sweaty and that type of thing, the littlest amount of irritation with this one. At this price point it's amazing. The dewy look, it's just great for summer and lots of different types of skin care routines. Because this one is actually so hydrating, I have not been applying a moisturizer under it every single time this summer."
