What the gurus are saying

This serum's 2% tranexamic acid concentration sits right in the range where it works to block excess pigmentation and calm redness without needing to exfoliate, making it a genuinely beginner-friendly first step for anyone tackling dark spots or uneven tone. The gel texture is fragrance-free and affordable, which dermatologists praise as an effective early option for hyperpigmentation. Consistency matters most here; using it daily, as your skin tolerates it, is where the real results show up.

"I do like the one from The Inkey List, this is a serum I was using this when I was experiencing post acne marks back in the past. Tranexamic acid doesn't exfoliate the skin, it helps to block excess pigmentation and it also helps to soothe the skin. This ingredient really is underrated. You might hear the odd person talking about tranexamic acid but I don't hear it enough and I feel like it deserves more hype because it really is beneficial for those that are struggling with dark spots and discoloration. This can be used on a daily basis, especially depending on skin tolerance, but the more consistent you are with this ingredient specifically you will see results."

"The fifth ingredient in here is tranexamic acid so it's at 2% so it's in the therapeutic index. It's coming out very gel-like, this is fragrance free, it's actually relatively cheap, it's a beautiful effective formula for early hyperpigmentation so this is very nice as your first line."
