Oat Cleansing Balm.

"I loved how you could use it as a mask or a cleanser, how it felt so calming and soothing on the skin, got rid of multiple layers of water resistant SPF and makeup and disappeared like that without a trace. It was like the best Holy Grail cleansing balm. Then for reasons not only to The Inkey List, I thought we could do better, let's reformulate it, and as a result it split before you even got halfway through the product. It didn't cleanse as well as it used to. I found it a little bit irritating on the skin and it used to come out separated in such a gloopy mess. Really wasn't the Holy Grail product it used to be. It wasn't just me. So many of you guys said exactly the same thing, that you'd moved away from it because it just wasn't working."

People started complaining online that the product started separating, it didn't cleanse as well as before, and it was almost a little grainy on application. "The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm, a lot of people absolutely love this stuff. I didn't love it. I didn't hate it at first and then I changed to not loving it but not hating it. It's pretty effective at removing makeup, but I did find this leaves a film for me if I don't use it with a washcloth to rinse it off. And I found you have to ignore the directions on this and don't do what it says because it says to apply to a dampened face. I highly disagree with that. You have to apply this to dry skin. If you apply this to damp skin it doesn't do a good job at anything, but if you apply it to dry skin it does a better job for me. It leaves a little bit of a film, but for a lot of other people it doesn't. In terms of affordability, it's really affordable, so if it ends up working great for you it's worth it."

It's great for all skin types including those that have sensitive skin and it also is quite moisturizing as well. I never use this as that traditional cleanser; I just use this to remove makeup and sunscreen and then of course as a face mask. This is really gentle, calming, and soothing, and you're getting 150 mls of product."

"This is a bomb, it's thick but it's also very moisturizing on the skin. It's super gentle, there's no fragrance, but also it really helps to repair the skin barrier with the oat ingredient. Oats is a humectant, so this is going to moisturize and nourish the skin, but it can also help to calm and soothe irritated skin as well. You can use this as your everyday cleanser both morning and evening. This works really well as a makeup and sunscreen remover and also great as that second cleanse as well. You can use this as a mask, put a thick layer all over your face all over your neck wherever you're experiencing irritation and just leave it on for as long as you want, half an hour, an hour, a couple of hours, and let this penetrate the skin. Three percent of the oat ingredient in here will really help to calm that irritation. When my skin is really rosy sometimes I will use this and I do feel like when I rinse it off after an hour or so my skin doesn't look as rosy. You can use this every day twice a day even if your skin is normal."
