  • Super light, matte finish
  • Strong antioxidant blend
  • Affordable price for exosome technology

What they flagged

  • Won't deliver dramatic anti-aging results
  • Brand marketing overstates benefits

What the gurus are saying

The serum's exosome technology and antioxidant blend earn praise for delivering genuine hydration and a subtle glow without overpromising transformation. It sets to a natural, nearly matte finish rather than a dewy one, which suits those after moisture and light anti-aging support but not dramatic radiance or collagen-boosting claims. Gurus suggest approaching it as a solid, affordable hydrating option with real benefits at its price point, rather than expecting the intensive results the brand's marketing sometimes suggests.

"The Inkey List Exosome Hydroglow Complex Serum is $24. The star of the show is 1% cica exosome, which helps promote skin's natural collagen production, skin renewal, and repair for glowing, smoother, firmer skin and helps improve skin firmness. In addition to the exosome it has prickly pear extract and ectoine, which is soothing, hydrating, protective, and an antioxidant, definitely up there in my favorite ingredients. It also has ubiquinone and tripeptide one. Really nice affordable product from The Inkey List."

"It's a serum with ectoine and sika exosomes. It's also got the collagen peptide in it that helps with collagen production deep down in skin. You can use it in your evening routine or your morning routine, whichever one you prefer. It's got a really nice texture. It sinks in, sets to an invisible finish that is just on the slight slight tacky edge, but not really super tacky. So, really nice product from The INKEY List and super affordable, which I love."
Affordable Anti-Aging Products - Frugal Friday - Skincare You Can Afford!
"This is a serum that contains shika exosomes and exosomes are little vessel little ingredients that help your skin repair, rejuvenate, may help with collagen growth in skin. Exosomes are great. It also contains ubiquinone, which is a great strong antioxidant. Ectoine, another great strong antioxidant. And then a peptide. So it's a really nice product. It's got a nice lotion serum texture to it. Absorbs pretty quickly. You can use it in morning or evening routine or both. Really nice. No scent to it and pretty affordable."

"It's a super light serum. It's a nice way to add extra moisture to your routine as well as some anti-aging benefits. It's really nice. I would say this sets to a matte finish, almost super natural finish that's almost matte, so it doesn't give as much of a glow, but it's really wonderful for adding some hydration. In here we've got ectoine again, great for every possible thing your skin needs. It's got sodium hyaluronate. It's also got ubiquinone, which is a super strong antioxidant and really good ingredient to have in your daytime routine. [Ascorbic] acid, resveratrol, astaxanthin, ubiquinone, great antioxidants. Green tea, another great one. Then it's got centella exosomes as well as peptide. The centella exosomes, when it comes to exosomes, they're kind of hot at the moment."
Best Exosome Skincare Products for Anti-Aging, Fine Lines, and Wrinkles
"Plant derived exosome seems to be by far the most popular. In addition to those exosomes, it's got ectoine, it's got ubiquinone, which is a great antioxidant, and then we've also got several peptides in here, no fragrance, wonderful product, 22 bucks."
New Skincare Products First Impressions - New from The Ordinary, The Inkey List, Skinfix, Topicals
"No scent in it which is what I like. And it soaks in pretty quickly. It feels pretty nice. It's a little tacky but not terribly so. And I think it's like 22 bucks so it's not terribly expensive. So far it feels nice and hydrating but still I think you could get away using this morning and evening which is what they want. And exosomes are a great ingredient worth considering adding into your routine. They've been shown to be beneficial for anti-aging and things like that."

"The Exosome Hydroglow Complex is a wonderful serum, this is my serum pick in the sale. The research and traditional use of exosomes is as an injection, which is different from applying it topically, but that said, this is a beautiful formula. I think it's nice that you have a vegan option, and whether it's the exosomes or the entire formula, your skin does look better and healthier after using this."

"The Exosome Hydroglow Complex by The INKEY List. We've had a lot of chat about exosomes on this channel, and I have to tell you, I'm not 100% sure this formula really worked for me. Was it hydrating? Yes, it was super hydrating. I really enjoyed it, but I don't think it gave me the bang that I was expecting out of exosomes. For me, this was nice, but it's not going to be a repeat purchase."

"It is a super gorgeous glowy formula if you're curious about it. It's also a good budget buy, super hydrating. I enjoyed using it. But will I keep it in my skincare routine? Probably not, because the research again is fairly thin on whether exosomes are actually helpful for the skin, and there's actually a little bit of pushback from some doctors saying exosomes in skincare should really be limited."

"The first product that I used is the exosome serum by exosome hydro complex by Inkey List."

"This Exosome one is great. Exosomes, think of them as like communicating devices with the skin. So they'll go into the skin. They'll help transport the ingredients which are present in the product deeper into the skin and help to trigger some anti-aging response. Exosomes are relative newcomers to the skincare space, but they're getting a lot of attention. And I think The INKEY List is the cheapest exosome product I've ever found. It also has a really good dose of those exosomes. So if you're somebody that likes a little extra anti-aging, this is one to try. The INKEY List not my favorite brand, but definitely I'm happy to praise them where they get it right. And with this Exosome one, genuinely genuinely delivers."

NEXT LEVEL £20 ANTI AGING SERUM - 300% More Skin Collagen?
"If you strip back all the sponsorship, the paid partnership, the hype that the brand are driving, actually this is still a really good serum. [...] This is a really nice innovative serum that's bringing that exosome technology to the masses at an affordable price point. If you want to boost your glow game, radiance and luminosity, you want to get some extra hydration and plumpness in the skin, this is a really nice option to choose. If you're someone that likes the idea of the VT RLE shot but you don't like the idea of the spicules, exosomes as with this are a great alternative. [...] At the margins you will get some anti-aging benefit too. Just be aware of the Inkey List marketing. They can never help themselves. They always overpromise and as a result you can sometimes feel a little disappointed. So I would say go into this with eyes wide open. If you want glowing skin, you want a boost to hydration and you want a little bit of anti-aging at the margins, this is a great affordable serum. If you want 300% more collagen, you ain't getting it from this."

"I've noticed from using the Inky List Exo product this year so far that I honestly do feel like my skin barrier has improved because of this product. When I use my retinoids, I am getting less peeling and less discomfort or burning of my skin. Overall, I kind of want to attribute it to this product here. It is really good. It feels nice on the skin. It also can make your skin just look a lot more glowy and hydrated and dewy. So far, I have not used a ton of Exoome products, but this one is really affordable. If you want to dip your toe into the world of exoomes because you cannot stop hearing about it everywhere, I think this is a very, very reasonable product to start with from the Inky List."
