What the gurus are saying

The niacinamide and centella asiatica combo earns praise for soothing reactive skin and providing support without heaviness, those with rosacea, acne-prone skin, or just dry, sensitive days will appreciate the lightweight feel and zero white cast. It doubles as a makeup base. The catch: it's shiny and lacks water resistance, so save it for everyday wear, not water sports or intense outdoor time.

"This sunscreen is very lightweight and has centella asiatica, which is a great soothing ingredient and may even have healing capabilities. It has niacinamide, which is a vitamin B3 analog that's soothing, anti-inflammatory, regulates sebum production, and helps repair the skin barrier. It also has licorice root extract, which is great for hyperpigmentation. The texture glides out on the skin with no sting at all, even on the eyelids. Because of the niacinamide and centella, this is probably really good for patients with rosacea, peeling skin, and acne-prone skin. For skin of color, this will blend in very nicely because it's so lightweight and does not have a white cast."

"It has additional niacinamide and essential Japanese plant extracts that are soothing and anti-inflammatory. There's just something about this sunscreen that makes my skin feel supported, especially on days where my skin is just not happy and more dry or when it's a little bit colder outside and I need something a little more nourishing. This really hits the spot for me. If you have dry combination skin, have some sensitive skin, or are just looking for a sunscreen that is going to provide a little more nourishment without the heaviness or the shininess, I think this is a sunscreen you will personally love."

"I found to be a bit shiny, I was fine with that but I know a lot of you guys don't like the shiny sunscreens. It's great as a makeup base. It's not water resistant. It's fine to not be water resistant for just everyday in and out purposes, but I do suggest if you're going to be doing outdoor sport or doing water-based activities to always choose water resistant. This is a good one but not necessarily my favorite, but a favorite that I wish would come in a bigger bottle."
