Illuminating Moisturizer.

"This is an Illuminating Moisturizer for 135 dollars. I'm just like, what is in this that makes it so expensive? Tata Harper does all of this clean marketing and remember clean doesn't mean better, doesn't mean safer. Most of the time it actually means less preserved, which is actually dangerous, and it means that it expires quicker so you have to spend more money. If you're sensitive to plant extracts, you are going to want to avoid this. We have lactobacillus fermented filtrate, which is great—this is lysed or dead bacteria but it can be very soothing to the skin. We have some shea butter ethyl esters, which can be very expensive to formulate with but very good and soothing to the skin. We have some safflower oleosomes, which are less greasy than safflower oil so this actually looks pretty light on the skin. We have glycerin, mango seed butter, and then all of the plant extracts. At least this has a lot of antioxidants and phytonutrients. What's interesting is that we also have mica in here. They call this an Illuminating Moisturizer. What's illuminating about it is the mica. You're spending 135 dollars for some plant oils and some mica. I do like the safflower oleosomes, I do like the lactobacillus, but everything else in here I'm just like we don't need this. This is a very luxury product. It's like makeup disguised as a moisturizer and I hate it when brands do this. This is makeup disguised as a moisturizer."
