"I have been dabbling with a new mascara I purchased about a month or so ago from Tarte, it is their Tarteist XL Tubing Mascara, and I have been rather enjoying this. It doesn't really perform quite like a tubing mascara though. Tubing mascaras basically coat your lashes and put a little tube around the individual lash hairs and then they're kind of fun because at the end of the day when you use your makeup remover or whatever these little tubes come off. This isn't really like that, but it is a pretty good mascara. It really has a good lengthening. It really does provide a lot of length and lift, but I don't know that it's mindblowing. It's not like a particularly unique wand and it doesn't get flaky throughout the day."

"I'm still using the Tarte Tarteist tubing mascara and I've rather been enjoying it. It was locked underneath the Tarte tubes and when my sunscreen adhered to my eyelashes, the combination of my tears and the sunscreen just started breaking apart in these chunks of the tubing mascara covered in the sunscreen, going in my eyes. But an oil cleanser really just helps to melt it all away and break it all up."

"I purchased the bundle with the tubing mascara, the fake awake liner, and their lip plumper. This was a huge fail for me. First of all, it doesn't give any color whatsoever. I thought it would give at least some color, but it's barely there. The smell is a very strong coconut smell, and it's slightly sticky and not very hydrating. Unfortunately, this was a fail for me."

"The Tarte mascara only got a one out of five for application. It was messy to apply, it transferred, and I had to do a bit of cleanup. For appearance, a one out of five. It was clumpy, it didn't really look like it extended my lashes much at all. It didn't have that nice sleek individual lash look like I would expect a tubing mascara to have. For smudging, it got a three out of five. It did smudge and have a little bit of fallout, not too bad. For washability, it got a three out of five. It didn't take too long to wash off, a little bit less long than the Elf and the Milani, but the wash off wasn't what I expected for a tubing mascara."

"The fake awake liner came in a trending bundle by Tarte along with their tubing mascara and their lip plumper so I bought that little bundle. I haven't tried the lip plumper yet and I'm also getting ready to do a video on tubing mascara and I'll give you my review of the Tarte tubing mascara. I have always found tubing mascaras to be somewhat troublesome so I'm going to have that video out probably at the end of March beginning of April."

"I also tried the Tarteist tubing mascara and this was kind of a fail. I really liked it all day long, it went on really nicely, it looked really good all day. Problem was at the end of the day it had left me like a little dribble over here by the corner of my eye. I have one eye that's always like a little dribbly, and when I wear my Clinique tubing mascara I never end up with the little dribble at the corner of my eye. With this one I had it. So not in love with this, even though it was pretty. I think that the Clinique is far superior because it stays put until I take it off."

"I like Tarte as a brand. This goes on much drier than the Ci'Ray, which is very wet. It's giving me really pretty lashes—seems to be more of a matte formula, and they don't really seem to be very glossy. However, I got some flakes from the mascara. Usually tubing mascaras don't really flake, but this one has quite a few flakes under both eyes. I like the Ci'Ray tubing mascara a lot better than this one."
