What the gurus are saying

This mineral sunscreen's most distinctive feature is its mattifying finish. Some experts highlight how effectively it primes and blurs skin, while others find it too matte for their needs. It appeals to those with oily or sensitive skin, especially people with rosacea, thanks to iron oxides that shield against visible light and a formula designed not to clog pores, though you may want bronzer in summer if you prefer more depth.

"I find it really nice as a primer if you're going to wear it under makeup, but I have worn it just by itself. By itself, right now in the summer, it makes me a little bit lighter than I'd like to be, so you're going to have to add a bronzer or something to it because it's a tinted sunscreen. It has iron oxide, so it's going to do a really good job protecting from visible light and blue light. It is non-comedogenic. What I like about it is that it's a pure mineral sunscreen. For those with rosacea, it will be a little bit easier on that super sensitive skin. This one is very mattifying, a little bit more blurring, better for lighter skin types or those who are really oily and want something that is more mattifying or works as a makeup primer."

"The cast on this is not bad at all, and it's slightly tinted, which makes it a lot easier to blend into the skin. However, you might find it's a little too matte for you, and that during some parts of the year more than others. In the summertime you might be like, this is all right, but in the wintertime you might be like, damn, I look like a keeper."
