What the gurus are saying

HotandFlashy and Dr. Aleksandra Brown and others rate it; The Style and Beauty Doctor and Dr. Shereene Idriss are mixed; Lab Muffin Beauty Science and Dr Dray passed. The dissent from Lab Muffin Beauty Science: "This has a creme gel formula, but it feels very different on the skin compared to those other cream gel sunscreens because it has a lot of makeup style pigment and effect particles in it, that's the bismuth oxychloride, mica, titanium dioxide, and iron oxides listed in the ingredients."

"One of my favorite lip sunscreens is the Supergoop Glow Screen, the pink peppermint. I actually keep this right next to my door so that when I go out to walk my dog, I just pop this on before I go."

"My favorite sunscreen is actually Supergoop Glow Screen. This is a chemical sunscreen, and if you are not very sensitive, this is a really great sunscreen because it's SPF of 40, which is awesome. But my favorite part about it is that it's a hybrid between skincare, makeup primer, and sunscreen. You're getting a three in one, so whenever I use the sunscreen I skip my moisturizer. I have combination oily skin so I don't need excessive amounts of moisture on the skin before I apply my makeup, but this is perfectly hydrating for me. It also gives a glow primer, so if you like using a glowy primer this is going to do it for you. It's going to make your skin look so radiant and beautiful."

"It doubles up as a light foundation and it is just the perfect amount of protection. It's SPF 30, for city living, if you're not somebody spending a day underneath the sun. If you're somebody who wants a little bit more of a glow up, I love the Glow Screen by Supergoop. The only problem for me with this one is that I have sensitive eyes and it burns. But every now and then, after I'm done with my makeup, I do just take a tiny little bit of this just for fun and go like this, because it does give a beautiful sheen to the highlights of my face. Am I using it like I use sunscreen? No, I'm not. But I do love the texture, I love the effect that it gives, and it's just so pretty."
Sephora 2023 Holiday Sale: Dermatologist’s Top Picks for ALL Skin Concerns! | Dr. Shereene Idriss
"I love Supergoop for being innovative and for bringing sunscreens to the forefront of everyone's minds. Their Glow Screen is probably one of my favorite ones because I do use it on top of makeup to add a little bit of sheen to the high points of my face, but it burns the hell out of my eyes, so I do not use it as a normal sunscreen all over my face. I take a tiny bit, just kind of like use it because I like the disco ball effect it gives. I used to use it all over my face, but my eyes got really sensitive one time while I was driving and I had to pull over, and I did not have a pair of eyeglasses with me at the time, I was wearing contacts, and it was a very scary situation, so I stopped putting it all over my face. If you're not sensitive, knock yourself out, even put it on your collar bones, it's just a beautiful product."

"This has a creme gel formula, but it feels very different on the skin compared to those other cream gel sunscreens because it has a lot of makeup style pigment and effect particles in it, that's the bismuth oxychloride, mica, titanium dioxide, and iron oxides listed in the ingredients. I actually prefer the texture of this during application, it's a lot easier to get that full amount onto my face, but after it dries down it does feel very noticeable on my skin, probably because of all those shimmer particles. And we need to talk about the shimmer because it is just too much. If you use a sunscreen amount, enough to get that full SPF 40 protection, it looks properly metallic. If you apply a really tiny bit, a primer amount, then it gives you a really beautiful glow, but not with the full amount. There's also this tint which dried kind of orange, and again I don't think this is an issue if you use a lot less, but sunscreen amounts, no, maybe it might work if you just happen to be that exact shade. I think this product is just better suited for people who are looking for a primer with some SPF protection and a glow rather than a sunscreen. So I wouldn't consider this a sunscreen really, I would call this a primer with SPF. I am really curious to know if anyone does like the Glow Screen when they're applying the right amount, I feel like a lot of people just aren't applying enough."
