What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise this sunscreen for its dewy, glowing finish and hydrating formula that works seamlessly as a primer under makeup. The shade range and lack of white cast appeal across skin tones. Key praise centers on the hybrid skincare-makeup function and suitability for dry skin. Recurring concerns: the shimmer is polarizing (some love the glow, others find it too glittery or prone to eye irritation), it's not water-resistant, and the high price per ounce gives some pause. A few reviewers note it works best as an accent product rather than all-over sun protection.

"This is your Super Goop Glow Screen SPF 40. It's $38 for 50 mls. This is broadspectrum SPF 40. It gives you really this luminous pearlescent finish. It's very, very glowing. It hydrates, smooths the skin with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. It layers beautifully under makeup with no peeling whatsoever. It also comes in multiple shades. So depending on your skin type, you're going to find a perfect match. The key ingredients are your chemical SPF filters, the hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and cocoa peptides. It's one of the most refined glow SPFs on the market with that texture and shade range that flatters across skin tones and works seamlessly under makeup. If you have a particular skin tone and dry skin and you want something that's going to go perfectly under makeup and budget is not an option, choose your girl."

Dermatologist Explains Why Tinted SPF Matters | Best Mineral Tinted Sunscreens for Hyperpigmentation
"For me, the Super Goop Glow Screen is the SPF 40. Retails for about $38 for 1.7 oz. If you're somebody who's more on the dry side, you might like the Glow Screen a little bit better to be honest. But it is chemical, not mineral. It did not irritate my skin though at all, even though I have rosacea. This is glowy. It keeps your skin really hydrated and almost acts as a primer for makeup. It gives you like this radiant finish. It's broadspectrum SPF protection. It's perfect for those dewy skin days. Works beautifully under makeup or if you want it by itself in place of makeup. Comes in four different shades. The key ingredients are hyaluronic acid, vitamin B5. It does have sea lavender and cocoa peptides in it."

"Super Goop Glow Screen SPF 40 is a lovely one because it gives that shimmer glow and it's got this light tint that's really nice to add during the winter time when it's kind of dark and gloomy outside. It contains hyaluronic acid, vitamin B5, niacinamide, and sea lavender, great ingredients that make a really elegant sunscreen that leaves no white cast."

"For $44 you're going to get 0.68 oz Glow Screen SPF 40, the one that has the shimmer in it. It might be a lot for the face but it's also something that'll look good. You can put it on your décolletage, on your arms, or on your face if you want to, but remember you got to put on enough sunscreen, which is 2 milligrams per centimeter squared of skin, about a quarter to a half teaspoon for your face, neck, and ears. This is a good option for someone who loves skincare but they're not really wearing their sunscreen like they should, these are the type of sunscreens that might be a gateway into getting someone who doesn't wear sunscreen to wear sunscreen."

"My favorite sunscreen is Super Goop Glow Screen. This is a chemical sunscreen. If you are not very sensitive and I'm not sensitive at all, this is a really great sunscreen because that's SPF 40 which is awesome. But my favorite part about it is that it's a hybrid between skincare, makeup primer, and sunscreen you're getting a three in one. So whenever I use the sunscreen I skip my moisturizer. I have combination oily skin so I don't need excessive amounts of moisture on the skin before I apply my makeup but this is perfectly hydrating for me. It also gives a glow primer so if you like using a glowy primer this is going to do it for you. It's going to make your skin look so radiant and beautiful."

"My wife's most frequently reused sunscreen by far is still the Super Goop Glow Screen sunscreen. She buys that all the time."

"There's the Super Goop Glow Screen which I use as a highlighter on the high cheeks of my face. I love it because it gives you, it makes me feel like a disco ball. Can't tolerate it all over my face though, it does burn my eyes."

"I actually prefer the texture of this during application more than with the Unseen it is a lot easier to get that full amount onto my face but after it dries down it does feel very noticeable on my skin"

"The Super Goop Glow Screen is an organic sunscreen, a chemical one. There's no white cast, it's tinted. It's not water resistant. It didn't burn around my eyes. The finish was okay, a little shiny, and the tint is very shimmery so it kind of gives you that glittery bronze look, which is okay. You may really like that. Personally for me it just was not my favorite."
