What the gurus are saying

Gurus overwhelmingly praise this serum for its lightweight texture, fast absorption, and effectiveness on redness and oily skin. It works well across age groups and skin types when applied early in the routine. The main caveat: the 10% niacinamide concentration is potent and may irritate sensitive skin or conflict with active treatments like tretinoin, requiring reduced frequency or skipping entirely for some users.

"Sunday Riley B3 Nice 10% Niacinamide Serum is really nice. I finished the whole bottle myself, though it can be spicy if you have really sensitive skin. I couldn't tolerate it more than like three nights a week."

Adult Acne in Your 40s? A Dermatologist Explains Perimenopause Breakouts
"This is a really lightweight, water-based serum designed to target excess oil, visible pores, and uneven skin tone. It helps balance your complexion without stripping or irritating. It's pretty good for daily use, but due to really high concentration, not everyone's going to be able to tolerate it. I did use this, I did finish the whole bottle, but I had to minimize my use to about three nights a week, and I did not really tolerate it with my tretinoin on top. So, this for me was not ideal. My skin is however very sensitive and I do have rosacea, but if you're somebody with oily tolerant skin, this is a really good one to add into your routine. The key ingredients are 10% niacinamide, trans-resveratrol, and squalane."

"B3 Nice is a niacinamide product. This is something I originally formulated for my daughter who has pretty severe acne prone skin. It was made to help combat the breakouts but also the redness that she was experiencing and the pore size that she was experiencing. Niacinamide is great because it's got these great anti-inflammatory benefits."

"What I like about this one is it's a water-based serum, so it goes into the skin quickly. If you have oily skin, absolutely not a problem. It doesn't kind of weigh your skin down so you can keep adding on other stuff. It's basically imperceptible, it disappears, and it's great for the summer. For me, I have very fair skin so I always get diffuse redness, and it really helps with my diffuse redness, that's surface redness. I recommend it for all age groups and all skin types. It was originally formulated for my daughter who has oily, acne-prone skin, but we're finding that a lot of our clients are reaching for it for redness, pore size, and because they've heard of niacinamide and want to try it. I'd put it in the beginning of the routine."
