"One of the sunscreens that you guys wanted me to review probably 2 3 years ago that we've ended up making it a staple in our house is the Sun Bum Original SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion. I find this one to be perfect for this category. It's really easy to spread. It has that very nice lotiony texture. It's not greasy. It's very comfortable to wear all day. It is also water resistant, which is going to make it really good option for outdoor days or if you're going to be really active. The key ingredient is the avobenzone, the homosalate, and octisalate and vitamin E."

"Sunbum the original, the original just called it SPF 50 sunscreen lotion. Chemical sunscreen. It blends. It smells incredible. It is waterproof. It's just so reminiscent of summer. Good for the body, good for the face. They have like a nice pump version that would work for both if you want to save a little bit of money."

"The issue with this product is not the blendability because I actually think it blends wonderfully and it doesn't have oxybenzone in it which is the filter that we're trying to avoid, but what it does have in it which I don't like is methyl chlorothiazolanone or methyl isothiazolanone. Either way, these ingredients are very common allergens. In 2013 or 14 it was the contact allergen of the Year, such an emerging common allergen that has pretty much been removed from all personal care products. It's a preservative but very, very, very common allergen. And so when we're recommending products to patients and they're trying to protect their skin from the Sun and they get a terrible allergic reaction, that's definitely a setback for a product that is really high risk of allergy. So this is not something that I'd be recommending to my patients and this is going to go on our worst budget list."
