What the gurus are saying

At $90, this thioethyl ascorbic acid serum carries a premium price tag that reviewers can't ignore. However, they affirm the formula itself smooths, firms, and brightens skin effectively. Application is quite simple, just fingertips' worth patted gently into the skin. That said, reviewers question whether the visible results truly justify that cost, even as they acknowledge the formula performs competently.

"The Vitamin C8 Serum at $90, featuring a powerful dose of vitamin C8 to help boost collagen synthesis. This was horrific to use. It shoots out at you when you first try to use it. It felt like the old fashioned vitamin Cs where they smelt like money and felt stingy, watery, smelled like hot dog water. There was no excuse to have a vitamin C serum like this in today's modern day and age."

"I'm surprised there's not a niacinamide serum in here because I feel like hyaluronic acid serum, vitamin C serum, and niacinamide serum are the three things that every brand does. It's honestly a bit repetitive to see every brand come out with these same products."

"Vitamin C I can't explain but I don't want to live without. I love a good vitamin C serum and I just kind of put some on my fingertips and pat it into the skin."

"Kim Kardashian has a vitamin C specifically a C8 serum that is supposed to smooth and firm the skin, supposed to give a radiant glowing complexion with thioethyl ascorbic acid, and it actually looks pretty decent. However, it costs $90."

I Recreated Kim's SKKN Routine with The Inkey List For Under $90 Dollars

The REAL Reason Kim Kardashian Is Launching SKKN Skincare Line...
"If they're using tetrahexadecyl ascorbate, which is one of the most expensive and difficult to formulate vitamin C esters, and if they're doing that for under 90 dollars, I have to call it as I see it—that would be a very good price for a very good ingredient. Tetrahexadecyl ascorbate is phenomenal, very expensive and difficult to formulate, and does an amazing job at brightening the skin and actually penetrating into the skin and into the cells where it actually needs to be. However, I don't have confirmation yet on what form of vitamin C they're using, so this is speculation on my part."
