  • Gentle without stripping

What they flagged

  • Pricey for a basic cleanser

What the gurus are saying

One expert praised how it removes makeup thoroughly while staying gentle and leaving skin feeling clean without irritation. However, another found it performs like a solid basic cleanser but felt the $43 price tag doesn't justify what it does. The split comes down to whether the gentle formula and makeup-removal performance warrant the cost, so those sensitive to pricing may want to weigh options.

"The cleanser at $43, which is a lightly foaming cleanser, developed to gently dissolve any makeup, water resistant residues, unwanted oils and impurities without stripping or irritating the skin. Honestly, this was nothing special. A good basic cleanser, but way overpriced, in my opinion."

"The Gentle Foaming Cleanser sounds like it's going to be a very average run-of-the-mill non-stripping cleanser. I mean, cleanser is fine, but I'm a little underwhelmed to be honest with you by the first look of these products as in what they actually are, and I'll be honest, if it wasn't for the packaging and the person behind this brand, I don't think the products would be half as intriguing because we all know these products, we've always used these products before, just with different packaging and a different brand name."

"The first thing I do is this cleanser. What I love about this is it's really light but it just takes off all of the makeup. It's really gentle. It feels clean but gentle."
~Nay
"This cleanser boasts 17% glycerin and aloe vera and is supposed to be super hydrating to the skin with turmeric for brightening and helping with uneven and dull skin, but what's inside of it is not revolutionary in my personal opinion. It's hydrating and soothing, but it costs $45 when you could get a cleanser with comparable or better ingredients for a quarter of that price."
