What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise this cleanser for striking a balance between effective cleansing and gentleness. The recurring strength is that it removes makeup and sunscreen without stripping or leaving a filmy residue, leaving skin soft and refreshed. Several creators highlight its hydrating formula and barrier-protective qualities. The main concern is price, though most reviewers feel the performance justifies the cost.

"This is the SkinFix Barrier+ Foaming Oil Cleanser. This is that milky gel, slightly moisturizing cleanser, but unlike the CeraVe, it actually washes away cleanly and it doesn't feel filmy. My skin just feels refreshed and not stripped but not filmy. And so that's why I loved it. I don't know what kind of magic is going on with this cleanser. The pump on this dispenses the exact right amount of cleanser. And you would not believe how incredibly important that actually is. I have tested so many cleansers where you do one pump and it's just so much product. It's like double the amount that you need just for your face. Even if you did your face and neck, it would still be too much, and you just end up rinsing so much of the product down the drain because it is hard to train yourself to only do a half a pump."

"The SkinFix Barrier+ Foaming Oil Cleanser really splits the difference between what I was looking for. It's not stripping and harsh, but not too thick either. It's almost like a gel type of cleanser mixed with a cream type of cleanser. It has a really nice silky luxurious texture and it foams up really well. I love that foaming action because it really helps to break through any thick oil that you might have on your skin. I have combo skin, my T-zone is still popping, and this really helps to break through all of that. Sometimes in the morning, if my skincare layers feel a little thick, especially if I slugged the night before, I like to use this foaming cleanser to break that up. It feels really refreshing and washes away really cleanly, but then it doesn't strip my skin. There's just that kiss of moisture and silkiness to it."

"I'm using the SkinFix Barrier+ Foaming Oil Cleanser. This has a very creamy gel-like texture. It's low foam, but it definitely feels like it cleanses my skin of all the skin care layers and maybe a little bit of oil that's on my skin right now, but it doesn't strip my skin. It actually leaves it feeling very soft and not stripped."

"Skinfix has an oil cleanser here. Prebiotic foaming oil cleanser. Skinfix is expensive. This has some peptides. It has lactic acid which may gently exfoliate as well as hydrate. Ceramides good for eczema, the skin barrier."

"It is not really what you think when you think oil cleanser, it's like a gel cleanser. It does not strip your skin, it cleanses well. I'm liking it again."

"The SkinFix foaming oil cleanser is really nice, it does a pretty good job with most sunscreen and most makeup for the exception of strong water resistant like eyeliner things like that it struggles a little bit with that, but this stuff is really nice and non-drying. It's nice in the fact that I don't feel like I have to do a second step cleanse after it especially if I use a toner or something like that."

"I really love this brand, one of the few that I just there's so many brands that I love but there's just a few that are really special in my heart. Skin Fix is one of them. I'm excited to give it a whirl. You want to use it on damp skin. It's got a nice gel texture to it, light lather."

"The SkinFix Barrier+ Foaming Oil Cleanser is a beautiful hybrid between an oil cleanser and a cream cleanser. It kind of looks like a cream and then it foams up as well, and it breaks down makeup. This is amazing for lazy skin days when you're like I need to wash my face but I don't want to do a double cleanse. It's beautiful, it's hydrating, and it really helps protect the skin barrier."

"The SkinFix Barrier+ Foaming Oil Cleanser is more like a traditional cleanser, but one thing I really love about it is that it has a little bit of slip and hydration to it so it doesn't feel like it's stripping your skin or leaving your skin depleted, but you also get this really satisfying lather when you use it. It's great at removing makeup as well as sunscreen. This is probably one of my favorite cleansers to bring with me on a beach vacation because on days when I'm applying a lot of sunscreen or I have a lot of product build up on my face, I know it's going to get my face clean without leaving it feeling dry or tight. The reason I love this so much for people who maybe have a very minimalist skincare routine is because it has that hydrating factor to it, so you may not need to follow it with a moisturizer to keep your skin feeling really good."
