This is probably some of the most expensive vitamin C you can buy, running about $185 for a bottle, but it is truly the gold standard when it comes to vitamin C. What I mean by it being the gold standard is SkinCeuticals did the original clinical trials on vitamin C and its efficacy with this exact formula. So when we make the generalization that vitamin C helps with collagen production and brightening of the skin, we are not actually saying that all vitamin C products do that; we are really saying that SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic does that and has proven to do so. These two are really their best sellers. The Triple Lipid Restore does contain essential oil now for individuals that have sensitive skin or sensitivity to essential oil this may be something you want to be careful of, maybe consider patch testing if you do have sensitive skin before using all over on the face."

"Vitamin C is super hard to formulate and when it comes to vitamin C serums nothing beats SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic with regards to the number of publications on its stability as well as its efficacy. SkinCeuticals has definitely spent years tweaking this formula getting it right with a combination of ingredients and pH to demonstrate its efficacy and stability. This serum contains 15% L-ascorbic acid, 1% vitamin E and 0.5% ferulic acid at a pH between 2.8 to 3.2 that's been shown to be effective and they've even demonstrated that after the bottle has been open even when the color changes it is stable up to 6 months from the date of opening the bottle. Even though there are vitamin C serums on the market that have very similar if not the same concentration of ingredients, they have to tweak the pH a little bit since SkinCeuticals holds a patent on this formula or add in other ingredients that may potentially affect the efficacy.
