What the gurus are saying

This ultra-rich, balm-like cream targets advanced glycation to help clear out nonfunctional collagen and stimulate new collagen, a mechanism experts find particularly valuable for sensitive skin and anyone tackling sagging. The formulation includes 10% proxylane plus antioxidants and purple rice extracts, backed by clinical studies, though it's pricey. The ultra-rich texture won praise from most, though some found it off-putting along with the scent, so patch testing first is wise.

"This video is not sponsored by SkinCeuticals, but in my practice I actually recommend their Advanced AGE Interrupter line, the serum and cream, for my GLP-1 patients as well as those who have sagging and want to complement skin tightening treatments, because studies have shown it helps augment the benefits of those procedures and inhibits the glycation process that's accelerated with GLP-1 medications. The serum has great ingredients like proxylane to combat glycation, and the advanced cream is very rich and helps to really improve the skin barrier."

"This is probably one of my favorite moisturizers of 2023 and it took 15 years for them to formulate this product and the science is super interesting. It contains a patented ingredient by L'Oreal called Proxalin, which is derived from Birchwood and it's a sugar molecule. What it does is it goes into the skin to help stimulate our skin's natural production of hyaluronic acid along with other proteoglycans to improve skin's firmness and elasticity. Through laboratory studies as well as clinical studies taking biopsies of the skin using products from SkinCeuticals with this ingredient, they've demonstrated that the skin's natural hyaluronic acid and proteoglycans as well as other parts of the extracellular matrix help to increase hyaluronic acid, proteoglycans, as well as help to restructure the extracellular matrix, which is essentially the scaffold for keeping our skin plump, more youthful and firm. This ingredient itself is certainly not new but in this formula they're using it in 18% concentration."

"This is a really rich cream that I personally love for my face and neck to help lift and tone. It's a great compliment to the Phyto Corrective Serum as well as any type of retinol that you're using. It contains a lot of wonderful ingredients including one that is fairly unique to SkinCeuticals which is called proxalin. It's a plant derived ingredient that improves the glycation of our collagen and elastin, so really supporting the production of those while at the same time helping to remodel the matrix, offering that tightening and toning benefits. It's pretty rich which is why I love it for the evening, and really love it for older, mature skin like myself or moms that tend to get more dry in the evening overnight as we sleep."

"This is a rich luxurious moisturizer that you can certainly use twice a day but I really view it as a nice night cream. It's a lovely product not only to support mature skin in the sense of improving fine lines and wrinkles but also helps to lift and tone at the same time. Ingredient-wise it's got proxylane, which is a sugar molecule, and what that sugar molecule does is it helps reduce advanced glycation end products, which is what A.G.E. stands for. Basically, when our skin ages, what's happening from all the oxidative damage and UV damage is that our collagen and elastin gets glycosylated and basically makes them more rigid and doesn't work very well. And when they build up, that actually contributes to sagging and loss of elasticity. So proxylane helps to basically remove out that junk and reduces the glycation on collagen and elastin and supports new collagen and elastin formation. In addition, it also contains green tea flavonoids and antioxidants along with licorice extract that also helps to brighten. It's just a lovely rich moisturizer, great for mature skin, and the benefit of it is it's not irritating at all and certainly is a great one to layer."

"I really love both kids and I feel like this is a great one for anyone that is really ready to take their anti-aging routine to the next level. The A.G. Interrupter Advanced, A.G. stands for advanced glycation end product, contains that proxaline which you're getting the benefits of proxaline and basically getting rid of the kind of the dead, the damaged collagen if you will and supporting new collagen and lasting production, supporting skin elasticity, firmness, helping to lift. I actually really love it as a great neck cream as well because for me my neck is an area that gets eczema, breakouts easily, and I can't tolerate topical retinoids as readily, so this is a great face and neck moisturizer that I love using at night. It's really suitable for anyone that has more dry, mature skin because of the richness, but it's not like shiny or greasy. I love it for nighttime."
Ultimate Sensitive skincare guide for winter from Dermatologist | Dr. Jenny Liu
"The SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Advanced moisturizing cream is by far the most expensive moisturizer I'm recommending, but I've been obsessed and using it every night on my face and neck. It's a balm like, ultra rich, buttery texture that spreads nicely. The cream took about 15 years to formulate and targets advanced glycation, helping clear out nonfunctional collagen and elastin while stimulating new collagen. It has 10% proxylane plus antioxidants and purple rice derived extracts, the clinical studies are impressive, and it's a great one to splurge on especially for sensitive skin."

"I really would like to get your opinion on the texture of this. You can see I've used this a lot. It has a lot of the similar ingredients. Oh, it is so good. That is nice. Nice and rich. It's just elegant. I feel it has such a lovely feel on the skin and it layers well because I would use this in my evening routine. I am enjoying it so much. It's beautiful. It's got a scent to it. It is an elegant and beautiful."

"There is clinical test to support some of the claims that they make. And the testing did show that when using this cream for 12 weeks, lines were reduced in the face. But when I looked closer at the data, the lines were reduced like 5 to 10%. So maybe enough to be significant in a study, but maybe not enough to be clinically significant. But nonetheless, it did reduce wrinkles all over the face. I will tell you just from personal experience, I have used this product and I just didn't enjoy it. I didn't really like the texture of it. I didn't love the smell of it. So it's not my personal favorite. But if you're interested in using a science-backed product to help with things like fine lines and wrinkles, it may be worth a try."

"One of the ones that have won a lot of Beauty Awards is this P toox from skin pical which is truly just a blend of peptides and maybe some niacinamide in it really not a groundbreaking ingredient maybe if it came out 3 4 years ago it would be but in 2024 there have been a lot more products that are much more advanced than this product out there"
