What the gurus are saying

This toner stands out for its lightweight, non-tacky texture that layers without building up sticky residue. That's genuinely handy if you're stacking multiple products. Reviewers found it feels nourishing, especially through winter months when skin wants extra comfort, while staying thin enough to slip under or over other actives without any drag or heaviness. Most say it simply works as promised.

"For the winter, when I need something a little more and something a little richer, I would go for the Skin1004 probio-cica essence toner. The probio-cica line is the line they have for more mature skin. It features fermented ingredients, in this case centella asiatica, which in theory breaks down the ingredient into smaller bits that can more easily penetrate the skin. [...] This toner is a little thicker, so I like it for the winter months when it's colder and I want my skin to feel a little more nourished. It's still non-tacky, still lightweight enough that I can layer it easily. It also features some panthenol and some ceramides."

"When you get it out onto your hand you'll see that little bit of body, that's the sodium hyaluronic at play, but it's very watery and thin, quickly absorbs into the skin, very hydrating. It dives a little deeper into the skin, which I do suffer with dehydration, I really crave that slightly deeper replenishing feel. I don't want that hydration to sit at the top, I want it to go deep into my skin, and this toner really does achieve that. It feels really really good, and it's layerable because it doesn't have a super thick texture, it doesn't build up sticky on the skin. If you want to do two, three, four, five, seven layers if you will, I like to stick to like two to three to really hydrate and plump up the skin, and you can do that without getting a sticky finish. It just feels really good, and I would say that this toner would work for all skin types. I specifically want to recommend this for my oily skin friends out there, because it is hard to actually find those barrier care ingredients, the ceramides, the fatty acids, in a lightweight texture. It's not impossible, but it's harder because they often come in creams that have a slightly more rich feel that might overwhelm oily skin. So if you're watching with oily skin, do keep your eye on this one, because you can get all those great barrier supportive and microbiome supportive ingredients without the creamy or rich types of textures."
