"This is the SK-II Facial Treatment Mask and this is a special occasion, this is a little bit of a bougie sheet mask, it's a little pricey but I absolutely love it for special occasion skin prep. This is a really wonderful mask soaked with really beautiful high quality highly concentrated pure galactomyces ferment, and there's something about that really high quality, very concentrated galactomyces especially in a sheet mask delivery system that really makes your skin like pretty much instantly very bright, very smooth, very even toned. It actually, if you have enlarged pores, look, it's not a miracle work but it can make them look better with even just one use. I personally have seen it. It's not going to make hyperpigmentation go away but it will help, and it has taken down a lot of the redness and like the angriness of that inflamed hyperpigmentation."

This is not cheap, I have to say. This is really something that I reserve for special occasions or when you really want to perk up your skin and get that wow effect. It's about $100, but I really feel like this product actually pays you back in the results because this sheet mask is soaked in that iconic SK-II essence, the Pitera essence, which is galactomyces ferment. SK-II actually has an exclusive strain of galactomyces ferment that they use, so while you can find this ingredient in other products, it's just not quite the same. The quality and the concentration and everything is a little bit on that next level. Galactomyces ferment is an amazing fermented ingredient that has a lot of different vitamins and minerals for the skin. It's also well known for being an antioxidant, it's very brightening for the skin, and I personally find with the galactomyces that SK-II is using, it's actually really nice for pores and texture. It just really refines the skin."

I mean for 10 masks that's not terrible, that comes out to like $14 a mask, which for a luxury brand is not that bad, but for a single one it is $30, which is pretty ridiculous because $30 for a single use product of any kind is nutso."

"The whole thing is that they have this special Pitera which is like a fermented ingredient they put in their skincare and charge you a couple hundred bucks for. The sheet mask is 103 dollars and 39 cents for 10 masks, that's like 12 dollars a mask. I mean it literally has water, saccharomyces ferment filtrate, propylene glycol, xanthan gum, methylparaben, and Pitera. You're basically paying for water and Pitera, one of the most basic formulas. You're basically paying for water and this fermented amino acid basically. I would not spend this kind of money on this."
