"The Shawnee Darden cleanser is a very gentle cleanser that I like. I've tried it a few times and it did not over-strip my skin, though it does have hyaluronic acid in it. That said, I'm concerned about using it twice a day with a silicone scrubby tool, which could lead to over-stripping the skin over time."

"This is from Shawnee Darden who's an esthetician. This is at Sephora as well. If you get it on sale, that is even better. I would highly recommend getting this on sale. This is the Cleansing Serum. It is literally like a serum texture but in a cleanser. It is silky, it is smooth. This removes makeup and sunscreen really well. You could of course pair this with a cleansing balm, but I feel like this is fantastic and it's made by an esthetician who really understands and cares about skin. This has ingredients like oat kernel extract which has beta glucans which are really hydrating to the skin especially when they penetrate deep. It's also got oils like Macadamia and olive leaf extract, not just straight up olive oil. This is absolutely wonderful. With the Macadamia in here, it is super super hydrating to skin. I always recommend the olive leaf extract over straight up olive oil. The Macadamia glycerides in here are so beautiful. This is a really wonderful gentle cleanser and it's perfect for mature or dry skin."

"Shawnee Darden is an excellent esthetician and this formula is amazing. This is the Serum Cleanser. It is a cleanser that feels like a silky serum. If you're someone who gets irritated by the stickiness of cleansers, this is for you. This specifically has non-stripping ingredients including oat, and it actually has a form of olive that is great for the skin. This feels so good, it breaks down dirt, makeup, and so on, and it hydrates the skin and softens flakes so that your next products can actually help remove them. This is expensive but super worth it if it's on sale."

"This Shawnee Darden cleanser is actually a Cleansing Serum and it's really good. It has water, surfactants, polyethylene glycol, macadamia glycerides, capryl glucoside, and glycerin—all non-stripping ingredients. It's not a very stripping or exfoliating cleanser the way others might be. It has some oat, olive, and chicory leaf extract. Overall it's got some great ingredients, it's vegan and cruelty free, and it seems to work well with her skin. As long as she's following up with sunscreen, this morning exfoliation does not look half bad. I would just say do it two to three times a week and not every day."
