What the gurus are saying

Gurus agree Secret Clinical is an effective antiperspirant, especially for those whose regular formulas have stopped working. The consistent recommendation is to apply it at night, when it works best and allows for residual protection over multiple days, potentially reducing how often you need to use it. The main drawback is texture: it doesn't glide as smoothly as Secret's regular formula.

"If what you've been using before stopped doing the trick, you might need to upgrade to clinical strength. Secret is a brand that has lines that work really well. If you've tried everything and nothing is working, that's where you need an antiperspirant. You need to be putting your antiperspirant at night. That's how it's supposed to work. You can still shower in the morning, it's done its job."

"One thing I will say about this clinical from Secret is that it does not glide on the skin easily. Like the regular Secret has a better glide to it."

"Secret Clinical is a great antiperspirant. Put this on at night. Antiperspirants will work better for you if you apply them at night. This is what's going to actually reduce sweat, which is ultimately going to reduce moisture accumulation. It's ultimately going to help tackle odor. A lot of people find aluminum antiperspirants to be really irritating, but put them on at night time, you end up needing to use less. And you may find out, as is the case with me personally, that you don't actually need to use antiperspirant every single night. You only need to use it a couple of nights a week because the active ingredient deposits down in the sweat gland and remains there to have residual effect for the following days."
