What the gurus are saying

Gurus unanimously praise this toner for its simple, minimal formula and weightless watery texture that hydrates effectively without stickiness or buildup. The recurring strength is its universality: it works across all skin types, layers effortlessly for the seven-skin method, and suits sensitive skin well because it skips heavy plant extracts. The consensus is that this toner's simplicity and purity are its superpower, delivering genuine hydration from within rather than a glossy surface feel. One reviewer notes it can double as a gentle exfoliating treatment on cotton pads, though hydration is its primary draw.

"This toner is very straightforward, very simple, very minimal ingredients. Some people would label this toner boring, and I say its boringness is its superpower. I love that about this toner, so straightforward, so to the point. At the end of the day, with dehydrated skin, I really have high expectations for a toner to hydrate my skin and only hydrate my skin, and this does it beautifully. Ingredients-wise, very very simple. If you have sensitive skin and you are looking for products that don't use a lot of plant extracts, which can sometimes pose issues for sensitive individuals, this might be a good one to look for. There is some power in the simplicity of this formula."

5 Star Skincare Empties! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"I've loved this toner for a really long time. It's a very simple to the point type of toner, but that's what I like in skincare. I don't mess around with my toners. I know what I like and this is one that I really like. I find this to be another simple straightforward type of toner but I do feel like this dives in just a little bit deeper than other toners. It's just a little bit more hydrating. It's really thin, watery, lightweight, quickly absorbed, and very great for my dehydrated skin."

"This is the Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner and I love the texture of this, look at that, so watery, so thin, and yet so much hydration. It just feels like a great drink of water. My skin just drank up that first layer, going in for a second one. This is just that good watery, deep, replenishing layer that my skin is craving without being too thick."

My Top 5 Hydrating Toners | 2025 Edition
"This toner doesn't have exfoliation benefits, which is good for me because I'm very sensitive to exfoliation in my skincare routine. What it does well is hydrate the skin in a really good texture that I call a universal texture, something that will work for pretty much every skin type because it's pure water. It's so watery there's no slip, there's no bounce, there's no body, there's no plumping to it, it really is just water. If you have very oily skin that just can't tolerate thick layers of skincare, even a little bit of slip or a gel-like consistency can feel so heavy on your skin, but this will just sink into your skin without any weight. It's weightless on the skin and you can layer this up multiple times. If you like the seven skin method where you layer a hydrating watery toner onto your skin multiple times, but you're sensitive to texture building up thick on your skin, this is perfect for multiple layering without any type of weight, and it really dives deep and feels incredibly replenishing."
Top 10+ K Beauty You Need to Try in 2024!
"The Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner is so good because it's so simple. It has a very minimal ingredients list, it's not trying to do too much, it's not trying to blast your skin with lots of humectants. It's just very simple but very hydrating and very watery, and I think it will suit a majority of skin types. It doesn't offer a lot of slip or body or thickness, which I think can be kind of overwhelming for some oily folks or even balanced skin types. It can feel like too much. This is pure water that's absorbed very quickly into the skin. But if you're suffering with dehydration or maybe a little bit more of a drier skin type and you do benefit from more hydration, you can actually layer this up into your skincare routine. That's a true K Beauty secret: to apply your toner more than once to really achieve maximum hydration. This texture really allows you to do that effortlessly. I think oily skin, balanced skin, combination skin, dry skin, you're going to enjoy this formula."
Ranking Summer Skincare Empties! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
"I'm going to rate this a 10 out of 10, it's that perfect unicorn toner for me. It's that right watery, really refreshing, quickly absorbed, non-sticky texture. It's really layerable, but each layer of toner actually is incredibly hydrating, really replenishing to my skin. It just doesn't weigh it down at all. Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner is actually really perfect for the summer months for me because it is so weightless, so breathable, not sticky on the skin."
10 Simple and Gentle Skincare Products!
"Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner is another one that really delivers deep hydration in an almost universal texture. It's going to work for any skin type in my opinion. There are some really great hydrating ingredients in here including panthenol, glycerin, and niacinamide, and it really does dive deep into the skin. So if you have dehydrated skin, I think you might enjoy this one because sometimes you just need that deeper hydration. I think this really provides it nicely. There's some seaweed content in here and that can be a really great balancing ingredient. This also contains sea water and alanine, both of which are actually soothing ingredients, quite healing for irritated skin. And this also contains sugar cane extract, which is interesting to see in toners because it has a very, very slight clarifying effect for the skin. It's not exfoliation, it's not full-on chemical exfoliation, but it gently encourages excessive dead skin cells to shed away from the skin, so it can definitely be nice for a little bit of a smoother feeling to your skin if you struggle with texture."

"This is a super hydrating toner that you could also use on a cotton pad to gently remove dead skin without it being overly exfoliating. It has dead sea water in here to help maintain the hydration of your skin, then panthenol and allantoin, which helps soothe. This is a nice one to put on cotton pads and leave on your skin. If you get hot rosacea like I do, having it flare up, you can soak it in and leave it on and you get this instant soothing feeling. It's very watery so I prefer to use it on a cotton pad. One of my favorite toners, and a multi-award winner. It's also really good on dry legs if you get dry legs in the winter."

"This is the Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner. From what I remember, this is just a super hydrating toner with Seawater, which the brand says it's full of minerals to help keep the skin healthy. Things like Panthenol and Allantoin. So it's moisturizing, hydrating, soothing. But if you are after something that simply hydrates in a really, really nice way, this is one of the better toners at doing that. I love Round Lab as a brand for somebody who does like hydrating my skin without overdoing it and without hydrating products that leave a greasy finish, because some of them do. I think a lot of hydrating products nowadays want to hydrate the skin, but also make you feel like it's been overly hydrated by leaving a sheen. Round Lab products don't do that. They hydrate from within, and then you just naturally see how much better your skin looks for it."
