What the gurus are saying

Gurus strongly recommend Restylane when injected by board-certified professionals, praising its reversibility via hyaluronidase and low allergic reaction risk. A major exception: multiple experts warn against using it for liquid rhinoplasty due to serious vascular occlusion risk in the nose's midline arteries, which can cause permanent disfigurement. For standard applications like lips and cheeks, the consensus is positive, though some note preference for alternative treatments like bio-stimulators in certain areas.

"The injectables that we use, hyaluronic acid-based injectables like Restylane and Juvederm, almost never cause an allergic reaction like this."
Plastic Surgeon: Her Face is Filled with Cement and Fix-a-Flat! Extreme Bodies Explained!
"If you are considering filler injections please only have them done in the office of a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon and only get fillers that are either hyaluronic acid based fillers like Restylane or Juvederm or Sculptra injections."
5 DUMB Cosmetic Treatments You Will REGRET!
"I encourage you to stick with hyaluronic acid-based fillers like Restylane or Juvederm. The good thing about these fillers is that they are reversible. We have a reversal agent called hyaluronidase that we can inject into those fillers in case they become lumpy or you don't like it, to basically melt that filler away."
Plastic Surgeon Reacts to BOTCHED Plastic Surgery TikTok Videos!
"Ask your injector to use a hyaluronic acid-based filler like Restylane or Juvederm. Those types of fillers are reversible, and if something goes wrong, it can be reversed and that ischemia can basically be treated."
Plastic Surgeon Reveals 5 B.S. Plastic Surgeries!
"The only fillers that I recommend are hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane or Juvederm or Teoxane. I'm also a fan of Sculptra in certain patients. With hyaluronic acid fillers there is an antidote called hyaluronidase which is an enzyme that can melt that filler away, some of it within literal seconds, so if you have a lump that you're not happy with we can inject hyaluronidase to melt it away. Or if you get the dreaded intravascular occlusion where filler is accidentally injected into an artery causing loss of blood flow to a part of your face, then we can try to melt that filler away and reestablish the blood flow."

"Liquid rhinoplasty, non-surgical nose jobs where injectors are injecting dissolvable fillers, hyaluronic acid based fillers like Restylane or Juvéderm into your nasal bridge or the tip of your nose to hide any lumps bumps, to make it appear straighter, to lift the tip up, or to have a more refined look, is a huge risk. From an anatomic perspective, your nose is the area of your face that is part of the midline of your face, and the midline of anyone's face is the most dangerous area. One of those reasons is because your arteries come from the outside in and they tend to end in the midline, so it's an area that has a lot of end arteries. When you are placing filler in this area and it gets into that artery, it can cause a vascular occlusion, a blockage, the filler blocking the artery. If that happens you can end up having skin death, also known as necrosis. A lot of people are not very lucky and end up having permanent disfigurements. It's something that I do not recommend."

"Restylane is one of the most common filler brands that you may hear your injector or your dermatologist mention. With hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane, when injected into the skin at various depths, you basically get what you see, it's instant results aside from some swelling. These formulations help restore volume, smooth out deep wrinkles, even superficial wrinkles, or add hydration depending on the product used."

"I still have this stuff now that we have further dissolved it. I think I'll probably try to use bio stimulators just to soften everything in that area and get a refreshed look again. I definitely don't want to do hyaluronic acid fillers in this area anymore. Obviously lips are fine and wherever it's necessary, but I think for me I'm going to stick with just the bio stimulators when it comes to the cheek, and I just don't really think I need anything in the tear trough area."

"It's usually just simple, like Restylane, that we put around the lips."

"Restylane are essentially a gel that we use to sculpt and support the face."

"Some brands such as Restylane have what's called Natur technology where the strands are naturally cross-linked so they're allowed to naturally cross-link within the process and that's got less chance of getting inflammatory reactions."
