What the gurus are saying

Gurus see potential in the formula, particularly for post-procedure healing and scar management, with one praising its gentle texture and efficacy after laser treatment. The recurring hesitation is the $148 price tag; skeptics question whether the peptide and antioxidant blend justifies the cost when the base is largely water and glycerin, typical of many cheaper alternatives.

"The Rescue MD DNA Repair Complex for 148 bucks. I'm intrigued by it because aside from the peptides in here, I can't quite decipher why it's so expensive other than it's just an expensive brand. It's fragrance free. Looking at the ingredient list, it's got an antioxidant, leachchel, which is great. It's got hexapeptide 9. And aside from those, I can't tell why it's a $150 cream. The main top three ingredients are water, dimethylone, and glycerin. And it's 150 bucks. I don't get it. I don't think I'd shell out 150 bucks for two ingredients, but I'm intrigued by it. I'll take a sample of it and try it, though, for sure."

"This is a serum that you can use on face and body that can help to basically improve the outcome of scars after resurfacing procedure after surgery. It contains Lapalutin which helps to support natural DNA repair along with peptides and other antioxidants like vitamin E and B5 to support the skin, soothe the skin, and really not only expedite healing but also improve outcome. Texture-wise it is a creamy yellow serum that when I put on my skin the night of my laser it definitely did not burn or sting."
