Dark Spots Nightly All-in-One Treatment.

"I absolutely loved this product, I will certainly repurchase it, highly recommended if you have hyperpigmentation, dark spots, melasma. It's great for all of it, the amount of brightening ingredients in this one is really impressive. It has retinol, mandelic acid, kojic acid, glutathione, licorice root, tranexamic acid, niacinamide, silymarin, and acetylglucosamine, and all of those help brighten up your skin and also help with anti-aging, and retinol is great for that as well as acne. I've got hyperpigmentation from melasma and dark spots and just getting older, and this was great, highly recommended if you have issues with brightness at all. It's got anti-aging ingredients in it and it's fragrance free and not terribly expensive, and I love that they combined it with retinol and the brightening ingredients as well."

"The Remedy Dark Spot Solution claims to target existing hyperpigmentation as well as prevent new discoloration, without lightening your natural skin tone. It contains 0.1% encapsulated Retinol, meaning the actual released concentration is lower over time, paired with Niacinamide at 5% to help combat retinol irritation, plus Tranexamic Acid at 3%, Mandelic Acid, Kojic Acid, Licorice Root Extract, Glutathione, Silymarine, Acetyl Glucosamine and Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate to target discoloration, along with Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, Squalane, Green Tea Extract and Ceramides for hydration. The texture is like a light lotion and the scent, faint but resembling cooked carrots, I don't hate but I'm not the biggest fan either. Because of the encapsulation I was able to use it every night from the start, even on my chest, which usually can't tolerate strong retinoids. For some specific concerns a dedicated higher strength product, like a Glycolic Acid, will have more noticeable effect than this, but if you prefer simplicity this serum is a solid all in one option. With patience and diligent sun protection, I think this product has good potential to help with hyperpigmentation. Despite anecdotes of people using it alongside Tretinoin without issues, I would caution against that, since pairing retinoids increases the risk of irritation rather than maximizing results."

"Remedy for Dark Spots has a treasure trove of ingredients all designed to help fight pigmentation in the skin, so it doesn't just have one single ingredient to interrupt the melanin synthesis pathway, it has several approaches. It's been a very well received product on social media from people posting their before and afters. I've had the chance to use this and recommend it to patients, and it is pretty well liked. It has a really nice cosmetic feel to it, and most importantly it does a good job of reducing unwanted pigmentation. It starts with an encapsulated retinol, which makes it a little more gentle on the skin, along with mandelic acid for gentle exfoliation, one percent kojic acid, glutathione, three percent tranexamic acid, silymarin, and I do like the addition of five percent niacinamide. It's pretty reasonably priced for all the ingredients you get, somewhere around thirty eight dollars."

It's not as simple as it seems, trying to put all these ingredients in one formula, stabilizing and putting them at the right pH, it's not an easy task. The line is really meant to make professional-grade products accessible to all. The dark spots product is really nice because I feel like there needs to be more products formulated with ingredients that work together synergistically to target hyperpigmentation from various angles at the same time. It minimizes the need to layer on all these products, so you reduce irritation. Remedy for dark spots does exactly that, helps to reduce hyperpigmentation, helps to brighten the skin, improve skin texture and skin calm. The ingredient list is wonderful, and I'm really excited to see it has many of my favorite ingredients to battle hyperpigmentation."

"I'm using both at the moment and the dark spots is probably the one that actually stood out to me because of the sheer amount of ingredients. I was a little bit nervous because I really want to support this brand, Dr. Shah is one of a handful of dermatologists who I really, really trust online, and I was like what if my skin just can't handle this? However, my skin is absolutely fine with this. In fact, it's really been enjoying it so far. In here we have 0.1% encapsulated retinol, mandelic acid which is a gentle AHA, 1% kojic acid which I feel like isn't in enough skincare to help with dark spots, glutathione again to help with dark spots, licorice root, 3% tranexamic acid, 5% niacinamide, 1% coumarin which I've never heard of before but this is a milk thistle-derived flavonoid that helps prevent new dark spots and offers profound photoprotective benefits, along with glycerin, squalene, turmeric root extract, green tea, ceramides. There is everything in here. It's like the chemists were like what do you want and Dr. Shah was like yes, everything. And all this is in such a nice lightweight soothing feeling kind of texture."

"This is my favorite from Remedy's whole line and it genuinely works. I love that they break down all the ingredients and what they do on the packaging and share their percentages so you know what you are using. It has encapsulated retinol, which because it is encapsulated you can use twice a day morning and evening to increase cell turnover, plus mandelic acid, a super gentle exfoliating acid most people can tolerate daily. It also has kojic acid, one of the best over the counter hyperpigmentation ingredients, glutathione paired with vitamin C, licorice root, tranexamic acid and a dose of niacinamide, so it is really addressing multiple actives at once. It's really inexpensive and it is a one stop shop for hyperpigmentation. I'd say once you have used it for about two months, that is where you will really start to see results, an even skin tone and less hyperpigmentation reoccurring. Take it from me, this is a powerhouse product."

"We chose mandelic acid for Remedy for Dark Spots instead of glycolic acid so it could be a bit more gentle on the skin, since it's nine actives in one formula. We used mandelic acid to increase the penetration of other ingredients like tranexamic acid, and also to exfoliate and remove existing dark spots without being too irritating. It's a top selling product for people and it works very well."

"I've tried this out myself and I really like the formula. As far as the cons, consistency, the feel, it spreads on the skin easily, it's hydrating, didn't cause me any irritation, didn't sting. Of course I love that it's fragrance-free, there's no odor with this. The formulation is really logical and makes a lot of sense, nothing unnecessary or superfluous. Now whether or not it's going to work for any one person is very difficult to predict. Some people will have hyperpigmentation from maybe spending a little bit too much time outside without adequate sun protection and they may get really striking results with this, whereas other people may have types of hyperpigmentation that are more involved, have been persistent for a prolonged period of time, maybe have an uncontrolled skin condition driving more stubborn hyperpigmentation. Those people may see little to no results, some may see a little bit of improvement. So I do think it is a good formula worth trying out if you're looking to improve the look of dark spots. You could also use it on the backs of the hands, or on the upper chest to specifically tackle dark spots. It does have 0.1% retinol, so if you're already using a retinol I don't suggest using this along with it because using multiple retinols in the same routine is not ideal."
