What the gurus are saying

One expert finds it spreads smoothly through hair and works well for their routine, though a small amount goes a long way and the price is steep. Another has warmed to it over time but doesn't consider it essential and plans to explore less expensive alternatives once their bottle runs out. The takeaway: it may work nicely for some hair types, but the cost means it's worth trying a patch or smaller size first to see if it's worth the investment for the individual.

"My hair also just really loves the Redken Acidic Perfecting Concentrate Leave-in Treatment. My hair loves this range, it's great for me. It is pricier. I tend to use like a much smaller blob, maybe like two Tic Tacs in size. This one just seems to spread a bit better as well. I personally find that if I use these ones on dry hair it kind of feels like I'm spreading it all around the outside of my hair and it's not like in the middle, but this one just spreads really really nicely."

"I'm still using this Redken Acidic Perfecting Concentrate Leave-In Treatment. I've kind of come around to it but it's definitely not my Holy Grail. I'm not going to allow myself to repurchase until I finish this, and I probably actually will try some other things out too in the meantime. I want to find some things that are a little less expensive in terms of products like that."
