"For the in between days when I want something more than a gel moisturizer but nothing that is that rich I go with the Real Barrier Intense Moisture Hyaluronic Acid Cream, the one in the tube, not the one in the pot. They are very, very different. The brand has this they call it MLE technology, which basically means that they have the skin lipids in a different ratio. And this ratio should allow them to arrange perfectly fine just like they would do in the skin if you look at the structures under a microscope. I can just say that it is exactly the right point between nourishing and lightweight. And the one I currently have has been stolen by my daughter whose skin type is acne prone but more on the dry side. So apparently it is a win for different generations. And it also again has ceramides. It has alantoine penthenol and micaso seeds."

It was so hard to find that I couldn't repurchase it anywhere online for a while, and when I finally tracked it down my daughter immediately stole it, so it has her approval too. The brand says their MLE technology arranges the skin's own lipids in the perfect ratio; I can't speak to that claim, but I can say it's really soothing, helps with flaking and is very lightweight. Now that I know where to get it, I think I'll stock up."

"The Intense Moisture Hyaluronic Cream claims 48 hours of hydration both through the ingredients and through strengthening the skin's barrier. It's much lighter than the Extreme Cream, feels like a lotion, and unlike the two other products doesn't have a pleasant scent, just a faint one, not bad, just not an average pleasant perfume. The lighter texture means it's a cream I could reach for during the day; the brand says it's great to use under makeup to prevent it clinging to dry patches, and I agree, though in summer I prefer using it at night. It's deeply hydrating without the tackiness I'd expect from a hyaluronic acid rich formula and leaves the skin very smooth. It features glycerin and hyaluronic acid, the MLE complex, ceramide NP, linoleic acid and squalane, the 3-calming complex of allantoin, madecassoside and panthenol, plus ectoin and beta-glucan. There are also a lot of plant extracts I wouldn't have expected in a product meant for sensitive skin. For me this is a great option if my skin is upset during the summer, something that can happen all year with my Tretinoin, as it really smooths out the skin without feeling greasy or heavy. If your skin is more on the normal to dry side it will work beautifully in your morning routine as well. A close second to my favorite, it smooths out the skin without being heavy or greasy."
