What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise the intense pigmentation, noting that a tiny amount goes a long way and blends into a natural, skin-like finish. The formula is celebrated for longevity (up to nine hours), inclusivity across skin tones, and versatility, applicable with fingers, brushes, or tools. The main friction point is application: the high pigment concentration demands a light hand or pre-dotting on the back of the hand to avoid streaks and oversaturation, and some find it slightly challenging to blend before it sets. Overall, the community views it as a standout, sold-out favorite.

"You can put it on anyway. You can put it onto a brush. You can literally take it out of the tube and dab it on your skin and it will blend out into perfection. And so it's just a very easy blush to work with and look so natural. This is one of my favorite colors that they have, shade Bahadi. But the colors that they have are also just so beautiful. If you do have really oily skin, I don't feel like this will have the same lasting power on you. These are highly pigmented, though. So what I recommend doing is putting a little bit on like the back of your hand or the back of like a palette and then going in and dipping your brush in before you put it on your face. If you put it straight on your face, you're going to end up with like a streaky application. It's going to be oversaturated in certain areas."

"To add a pop of color and some life to my face, I use the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. And I've been loving the shade of Bliss. I like that this blush is derm tested, non-comedogenic, safe for sensitive skin. And I can personally attest that it does not flare up the rosacea on my cheeks. It's formulated with lightweight pigments and hydrating emollient, which means that it can actually give you a natural dewy flush without emphasizing texture or dryness. Price-wise, it is mid-range, but a little goes a long way. You seriously like I use my finger and I put like two dots on and that is all I need because it is so pigmented."

"The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch blushes are fantastic. This was the first one that came out that was really super highly pigmented and these are so big they will last you forever. My favorite is Hope. I love this one, it's beautiful. It also gives you that lit from within glow with a little bit of a shimmer, but a little goes a long way with this."

"This blush looks really good. I do really want to try it. All you have to do is blend a little bit. I think I put some further down, and I'm just gonna buff in. The hardest part would be trying to figure out when you finish blending."

"You do not have to be a certain skin color to use Rare Beauty's blush. It's blush. I really love blush. I love wearing heavy blush. I absolutely love the color and the way it looks on me. I think it's perfect for a sun kissed look, and I think the undertone complements my skin really well. Some people don't like pigments in blushes. I do. I think this color is gorgeous, and it blends out really pretty. You can also use it for underpainting. I personally like the blush look. So I think if you like the way it looks, then there's not a reason to not use it."

"The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Blush went insane. Everyone was going for it, loving it. When you take two dots and spray it with a hydrating mist and tap it in, it just makes it look incredible. It melts it in with your skin. It melts it in with the foundation. You get this really beautiful look, it looks like my skin. It doesn't look like I've just gone, here's blush. These went really viral because of the pigmentation and how much color there is. I just love it. Even the bright purple one looks incredible using this method."

"I have the exact blush that she was wearing, it's the blush in Happy. I'm going to try not to use too much of this because she has a darker skin tone than me and this is like a relatively bright blush and it just doesn't look as like, you know, on her. So I'm going to blend it out a little bit so that it's thinner and I'm not picking up too much."

Pool party friendly makeup, no foundation 🙌🏻
"I'm going to mix this Rare Beauty one that's obviously way too bright on the back of my hand with a little bit of my foundation because I want the tone but I want to tone it down a little bit and I'm going to be using this as my blush. It's got that peach, it's got a little bit of gold and it just looks really beautiful dusted all in that C shape of the face."

"I like the packaging, it's nice and travel friendly, it's nice and lightweight. The color that I use is cashew, which is ever so slightly more on the peachy kind of neutral side compared to my skin tone, but it works beautifully."
This is your new go-to Soft Glam makeup
"It is an eye steo so it does set, so it has like a slightly more waxy kind of consistency to it. It blends nicely but you got to work quick. It's not as creamy as Fawn, but the color is just much better for my nose, doesn't look quite as warm. I've been mixing Rare Beauty 170W and 100W because I've been experimenting with a little bit more brightening recently."

"Even though this is a cream type blush, I just don't like the way it applies. It doesn't shear out nicely and it's just for me almost too pigmented, and then you get to a point where you can't really shear it out much more. It's a little bit greasy feeling."

"Right now I actually have the Rare Beauty one on this is in the shade Joy which is a coral peachy shade which I love for spring and summer. I was using this in the winter though, using this more so in the winter in the shade Chili which is a nice cool tone pink mauvey shade. They're so pigmented that all you need is one little tap on your cheek and then you might be blending for a while because that's how pigmented they are, but again you're getting your money's worth and they're going to last a really long time. Once it's on your skin that longevity is there as well and my cheeks will look like this until I wash my face at night time."

"Instead of applying it directly to the face, we're going to take it on our hands first. Just take any cream blush. This honestly can be done with any color. I'm going to take the Rare Beauty blush brush and really diffuse this on the back of my hand. I'm doing this before powder because I feel like powder will mute the color a little bit and I want that."

I Tried The READERS' CHOICE WINNERS... Allure 2023
"I'm sure you could guess what the best blush was according to Allure readers, look at this it's the Rare Beauty blush. I'm going to use the shade Hope, I'm just going to tap this onto the cheeks and then I'm going to press around the edges with my foundation brush."
Testing Rare Beauty's NEW Blush...
"Happy is one of my most most used shades of the liquid blush, it's just a great go-to pink color. This one has a much stronger pink base than some of those lighter pinks. If I do the right amount it looks really pretty, but if I start to apply any more than that it starts to look very texture emphasizing."
Testing the NEW Rare Beauty Pressed Powder 😱
"I'm going to do a little bit of the Rare Beauty liquid blush. This is the shade Joy, it's a really cute coral color. I think this is going to look so cute with Poppy. I feel so summery already."
Makeup YOU Said You'll NEVER Buy Again..
"Somebody said the Rare Beauty liquid blushes I find them very hard to work with always patchy. These are so pigmented so again another one that could potentially not be very user friendly if you're not like willing to work with it or maybe you don't have the right tools or maybe it's just you know not fitting into your typical routine. Like maybe you're somebody who prefers to apply blush a certain way and this formula just doesn't do it for you. I can see how it could be you know intimidating for people and also just like not what you're looking for sometimes."
