  • Leak-proof pen design
  • Pleasant spa-like scent

What they flagged

  • Strong citrus top note may cause headaches

What the gurus are saying

The scent itself earns praise as pleasant and spa-like, with a leak-proof design that makes it handy for travel. However, the real fit depends on whether aroma therapy pens are already part of your routine. One reviewer found it genuinely helpful for managing anxiety before social events, while another enjoyed the fragrance but flagged that the citrus top note could trigger a headache over time, particularly for those sensitive to strong scents. Best suited for people who already reach for aroma therapy products regularly.

"They have the Comfort Stop and Soothe Aromatherapy Pen, which is a weightless fast absorbing gel with a soothing peppermint and lavender scent to help you relax and refresh the senses on the spot. It has lavender oil for calming and peppermint oil for relaxation and for soothing. I don't think I would purchase this. This is $27 Canadian for 5 mls of product. Here in Canada we have a brand called Sage Wellness and I use a lot of their products, especially their diffuser blends, but they do have a lot of body products as well with oils and I much rather use something like that than this one from Rare Beauty. But for me I'm definitely going to pass on that."

"It's made with a natural blend of peppermint, lavender, and tonka bean aromatherapy oils to help de-stress and decompress. It's a leak-proof pen. When I would use this is probably like on my way to an event when I'm going by myself and I'm afraid that I'm not going to know anyone and I'm just going to be standing there by myself alone feeling awkward. This would be really good for that."

"I think it smells better than the scent in here, but that's just my personal preference. This is a spa fragrance in a little aromatherapy pen and so I feel like it's actually a really nice scent. While it's nice and pleasant and I thought it was a really fun experience, I'm going to give this a yellow because I don't think I'm going to use it all that often. I'm just not somebody who really does the whole aromatherapy pen right now in my life. If you're somebody who finds yourself using aromatherapy products you might really enjoy this, but for me it's not something that I would repurchase. It's not something that I would buy over and over again based off my first impressions. The fragrance is nice but I feel like potentially because of that citrus note at the top, as the day goes on these are the types of fragrances that could potentially give me more of like that slight headache just because of that kind of strong citrus top note. I'm just so picky because my body is so sensitive to fragrances."
