What the gurus are saying

This shower oil's divine scent wins raves, but experts split on the formula. Reviewers praise the fragrance and silky finish at under £9 for 250ml lasting six weeks, while others point out that vitamin A and C don't appear in the ingredient list, making it essentially water, glycerin, and fragrance. If you're buying for scent and texture, it delivers; if you're counting on active ingredients, look elsewhere.

"They do a shower oil, it looks like this, it's in a pink container. Oh my gosh, it smells so good. It is the nicest smelling shower oil you will ever ever use. It's like £9, amazing. The moisturizers divine, but that shower oil, if you can get your hands on it, it's always sold out because it's beautiful. If you can get your hands on it, buy a couple because it'll last, and it is just the richest shower oil and you will smell divine. I take it to the gym as my treat after a workout when I'm hot, sweaty and bothered. I go in the shower and suddenly the world is right again because that shower oil is so good. I recommended it about a year ago to quite a few people. They all absolutely raved about it and said yes, never going back."

"I do love Q&A, they're one of my favorite favorite brands, and when they release these, just everything appealed to me, especially the colors which are so so bright. This I love, but I'm also in love with the gorgeous scent of their shower oil which is also absolutely stunning."
SKINCARE LIVESTREAM - Summer Skincare Chat
"I'm in love with their shower oil. The shower oil smells absolutely divine and it leaves your body silky smooth. It's so good. I basically badgered Tom and saying look, I've been using this every single day and it's hands down the best body wash I've ever found. It's so good. I paid nine pounds, eight pound fifty for that shower oil, 250 mil. It's a lot of product for that price. I am totally sold. I think it's a game changer."
SKINCARE FAVOURITES & FAILS 2024 - Huge Empties Review
"This is the Q&A Vitamin A C and E Cleansing Shower Oil. You guys know I love this, I go on about it all the time. It smells beyond divine, like beyond divine. I actually have this in my gym bag, I use it at the gym, and the whole gym shower section smells like pomegranates and fabulousness when I've used this. So I feel like using this is doing a public service to everybody else who uses the David Lloyd Gym West End, which is where I usually go. This genuinely is amazing, everyone says how nice it smells. It's £8 and you get 250 mil. Q&A are a fabulous British brand that I'm always happy to support."
SKINCARE PRODUCTS I USE EVERY DAY - Anti Aging Essentials
"My cleansing oil of choice is the Q&A Vitamin A C and E Shower Oil. This is divine, whether you use it in a shower or the bath either is absolutely fine, and it gives you the most luxurious cleanse you will ever experience. The scent alone takes you to like another plane, another level, it is so gorgeous. One of these will last me like six weeks, so it's really budget friendly and inexpensive. With shower oils being a huge trend in 2024, don't get sucked into thinking you need to spend bougie and luxury prices to get the best. This will give you the best body cleanse you've ever experienced at a fraction of the cost of its luxury competitors with the most divine smell to it. I cannot recommend this enough."
ULTIMATE SKINCARE DUPES 2024 - Next Level Skincare
"This smells so good, like so expensive and luxurious, and this is £8 and you get so much product for £8. This will leave your skin silky smooth, like the smoothest body you will ever have after just one use. It emulsifies into this rich cream and lather and then rinses away and you just get that delicate scent on the skin all day long. This is phenomenal, it's a treat. If you've been seeing people going on about their shower oils and bath oils and how that's really the best way to smooth out your skin, do it on a budget and get this really inexpensive option that lasts forever. It will rival any of the bougie and luxury options on the market, so this is like a universal dupe that I would recommend to everyone. I take this with me every day to the gym. It's my little treat after a workout and I just smell absolutely gorgeous all day long."

"This is basically water, glycerin, and I can't actually see vitamin A or C in the ingredient list, which is odd because that's in the title of the product, plus a ton of fragrance. So this is one to avoid."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Vitamin C

Topical vitamin C is an antioxidant with reasonable evidence for dullness and uneven tone. It breaks down in light and air, so how a product is formulated and packaged matters as much as the percentage on the front.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and it is often in a formula to keep the other ingredients stable rather than as the active itself. It pairs well with vitamin C, though on its own the evidence for visible change is limited.
