What the gurus are saying

This sunscreen earns consistent praise for its lightweight texture and natural finish that sits comfortably between matte and dewy, making it a strong pick for those with slightly oily skin or anyone wanting a makeup primer effect underneath foundation. The formula contains newer-generation UV filters that may extend reapplication intervals to six hours rather than the standard two, and includes skin-soothing ingredients that appeal to those prone to irritation in warm weather. However, the brand does not disclose the exact percentages of its UV filters or provide full water-resistance test data, which leaves some gurus hesitant to rely on it for swimming or intense water sports, though it handles sweat and everyday activity well. A few gurus note it can occasionally pill slightly when rubbed, a trade-off common to water-resistant formulas.

"I'm going with my Purito sunscreen, I think this is still my favorite. I think it's because I do wear makeup, and like I say all the time, it's just such a good priming sunscreen."

"I'm going with my Purito sunscreen, I think this is still my favorite. I think it's because I do wear makeup, and like I say all the time, it's just such a good priming sunscreen."
K-Beauty Skincare Try On: Expectation vs Reality!
"This is absolutely an amazing sunscreen. I think it is true that if you have in particular dry and sensitive skin like I do, you still might like this sunscreen, if not more, or at least as a supplement to another one. It comes down to what finish you like. This one is still going to give you a bit of shine, especially because it is water resistant, and it's a little bit of a heavier appearance, but that also is what makes it such a good primer. I feel like I found another favorite sunscreen."
BEST SKINCARE OF 2026 (so far!)
"My old favorite sunscreen is the Purito Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen SPF fifty plus PA four plus, and I still adore it. The best part is that when I apply this sunscreen, my skin is better after using it, not just protected from the sun's rays but genuinely better looking at the end of the day when I remove my skincare."
Summer Skincare Empties: ALL THE SUNSCREEN
"If I am applying makeup on top, the Purito Daily Soft Touch is my favorite. It's my favorite priming sunscreen and my favorite sunscreen for anytime my skin is in need."
Best VALUE Skincare (& worst too!)
"You've seen me rave about the Purito Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen SPF 50 plus, PA4 plus, water resistant, wonderful product. It's kind of like a primer but it blends beautifully into my skin. It does have some tint, so beware if that gives you a bit of a white cast, but it works really well on my fair skin tone. I actually look forward to using this every time, not only the application but I look forward to my skin being better after I use it, which I just can't say about mineral sunscreens in the US because zinc oxide is an astringent ingredient that dries out my already dry skin."
SKINCARE EMPTIES: First Time *without* Epstein List Brands!
"My holy grail is the Purito daily soft touch sunscreen. I swear it's not the easiest to apply, it actually needs a little bit more buffing into your skin or you could get a white cast, but there's something about this that just makes my skin better. It's the most reparative sunscreen I've ever tried and that's the reason why I call it my favorite. If you have sensitive skin, I have to rave once again about Purito."
SKINCARE EMPTIES: the greatest hits! (2/26)
"This is my holy grail, the Purito Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen. I adore it. It's not the lightest sunscreen, instead it's the most nourishing, and since I have dry, acne prone skin, it's incredible for my skin."
BEST IN BEAUTY 2025 (fiiinally!!)
"For another year in a row I'm calling it with the Purito soft touch sunscreen. There's just no comparison between Korean sunscreens and the sunscreens that come out of America. The reason this is my absolute favorite is because not only is this SPF 50 plus PA+++++ and it features ceramide ingredients, but a lot of people believe sunscreen is always hard on your skin, and yet every time I use this my skin actually looks better at the end of the day than if I hadn't put it on. That is coming from somebody who has reacted to a lot of sunscreens. This for me, it's the one."
Best & Worst VALUE Skincare!
"This sunscreen is such an effective primer before makeup, it is absolutely my favorite, it's somehow the sunscreen that makes my skin feel and look better. It's a moisturizer, sunscreen, and primer all in one, so I don't even need to use a separate moisturizer with it, and that's why this is my best value pick here."

"I'm using my Purito Daily Soft Touch sunscreen. This is absolutely hands down my favorite sunscreen for when my skin is in a little bit of a rough place. Just by far the best."
What Changed My Skin! (Dry & Acne Prone Skin)
"This is the Purito Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen, and you know how much I love this, this is one of my absolute favorite sunscreens for a very specific purpose. I turn to this sunscreen when my skin is in a rough place. I always thought of sunscreen as a barrier to protect your skin from the sun's rays, but I never thought of it as helping with immediate effects like moisturizing and helping with irritated skin, and this is the one that proved to me that sunscreen can also be a product that facilitates repair in your skin. It has ceramides in it, which are part of our natural lipid complex in our skin and great for repair, and it's also nice and cosmetically elegant to apply, nothing like Western mineral sunscreens."
BEST KOREAN SKINCARE OF 2024 (and of all time)
"The winner is this one, it's my favorite Korean sunscreen. This sunscreen I genuinely feel makes your skin better, it is rich in ceramides, it is rich in humectants, it is hydrating, it is moisturizing, it is protective, and it seems to be restorative as well. There is a little bit of a white cast on my skin tone with this one."
NEW Skin1004 Sunscreen, Stratia Toner & More: Try-On & Post Hurricane Chat
"So far the only sunscreen that really delivered for me on that barrier boosting claim has been the Purito Soft Touch Daily Sunscreen."
Sunscreens for Sensitive Skin: YES, It's Possible
"You've probably seen me rave about the Purito Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen. It's got all these barrier boosting ingredients so it's a nice moisturizer, but in addition to that it contains a blend of filters including Tinosorb M, which is a gentle, hypoallergenic filter, maybe a good choice for pregnancy, though because it's a hybrid it may leave a white cast depending on your skin tone. That said, this formulation is one of the most comfortable sunscreens I've ever encountered in my entire life. If you feel like sunscreens make your skin look worse at the end of the day, please try this one, because every time I wear it my skin looks better at the end of the day. This is kind of my reparative sunscreen option."
New Purito/Flower Knows Try-On & Chat: Honest Reviews!
"I did repurchase the Purito Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen. It's not the fastest sunscreen to apply, but I feel like it's such a good makeup base. It's got that kind of heavier feel that you sometimes want in a primer, while also being SPF 50 plus PA4 plus."
Skincare Empties: the Sunscreen Edition!
"I actually really like this Purito Daily Soft Touch sunscreen. I used to call this my favorite prior to the new Kose Suncut formula and the new Curel formula. What's special about this is it has a deeply moisturizing feel, and I truly feel this one helps my skin bounce back, so anytime I'm dealing with a compromised barrier this is such a good sunscreen to choose. I did repurchase the new packaging."
Best K-Beauty Sunscreens! | 2023 Best Skincare Products
"This one really stood out to me the first time I tried it. I always felt like sunscreen is something you don't see immediate benefits from, you use it for the long game, but my opinion changed immediately upon using this because this is one of very few sunscreens where using it makes my skin better by the evening. It uses ceramides, so it's a bit of a different formula, it takes a little longer to apply and it applies a bit unusually, it dries down quickly but stays a bit more moist on my skin, and there's something to that sensation that feels healing for my skin. I will honestly say I think this one is a little bit higher on the shine factor, which I know some people are looking to avoid in sunscreens, but I am really pleased with this formulation, I think it's a bit different from others on the market."
Best AFFORDABLE Skincare Products: What WORKED for me!
"This is officially my favorite sunscreen. It's not just a sunscreen that protects me from the sun, you also get barrier support, deep moisture, and a finish that is not too dewy or glowy, all in one product. I've never encountered a sunscreen that does all of that before. This is my newest favorite and I am blown away by it."

"This one doesn't have water resistance, and honestly it feels like a sunscreen from 10 years ago, too heavy. I have to rub it in literally seven to ten times, so it's too heavy, too thick. There's no reason to use it when we have a lot better versions now. This goes to C tier."
Yay
"I have Purito here. They're both SPF 50. It really makes no difference as long as it's SPF 30 which one you're using."
Yay
"When I talk about a product from them in a positive light, you know it must be really, really good. They went back to the drawing board and came out with the newer versions, which is this. And it's really, really nice. This is great for people that are looking for a nice natural finish to the skin. It's not too dewy. It's not too matte. It's just something in between. And I personally really appreciate that. This is a nice formulation which blends in without any issue. It's a chemical sunscreen, so there is zero white cast. And honestly, I'd say this is more on the hydrating side than some others. This is for people who want a natural skin finish. There is zero scent to this. Nothing added to mask any fragrance, but also nothing too chemically about it. It's just a great allrounder. I think this is a great entry point product into Korean sunscreens. If you're new to K sunscreen, this would be a really great place to start."

Top Rated KOREAN SKINCARE 2025 - Worth They Hype?
"This one is a nice good skin day, it's not super matte but it's also not super dewy either, somewhere in between, and I appreciate that. I also find that some of the ingredients in here do help keep the skin, like the levels of oil under control, so this was a great option for people that have slightly oily skin. It just helped things stay a little bit matte for a little longer, which I certainly appreciated. It looks beautiful on the skin. I like the formulation, and I think this is probably worth a four and a half star review. I like the fact that you get slightly more product than the average size too, that's definitely a plus in my book."
BEST KOREAN SKINCARE BRANDS - Korean Skin Care Favourites
"Their sunscreen is also amazing. The Skin4 one was like for me when I tried it was next level and then I tried this and was like oh my gosh they're taking it up a notch even further. I'd say slightly less hydrating than that Skin104 one but actually even better when it comes to being super lightweight. It also has some ingredients to reduce the temperature of the skin. So if you're someone that's prone to irritation inflammation particularly in the summer months this could really help. It is just impossibly good skin is what this guarantees. I absolutely love it. I used it in some of the really ridiculously warm weather we got here in summer in the UK, didn't have an issue at all. It lasted forever because they use new generation filters as well. You don't need to reapply this every 2 hours like you do with other sunscreens. You can reapply this every 6 hours according to the brand and you still get that SPF 50 plus protection. I will attest to that in the ridiculously warm months here in the UK, used it, never had a problem."

BESTSELLING KOREAN SUNSCREENS 2024 - Rating Viral SPFs
"I liked it. It felt great on the skin it has that ceramide action so if you like your ceramide fix in your skincare this is a really really nice option to reach for. There is nothing out there to suggest this isn't giving the right SPF nothing whatsoever so I want to put that out there loud and clear. Just in my mind I just I don't think people trust Purito as a brand when it comes to their sunscreens after the scandal that happened a few years ago. They've done a whole rebranding, they've changed all the packaging, they call them Purito Soul now. It looks a lot nicer but something with me just said they weren't that honest originally, they didn't really apologize, they kind of fought back rather than just admitting that their sunscreen wasn't living up to expectations."

"It works really beautifully underneath makeup though. I think that grippy top I really like that for makeup because it almost like doubles as a primer, and I'm a big fan of makeup primer so when a sunscreen can actually take the role of that it's pretty impressive. I do feel very comfortable sweating in this sunscreen. I do still feel protected with this, though obviously at a certain point you're going to have to reapply if you're continuously or profusely sweating, but I do feel like this can hold up to sweat nicely. I don't know that I feel comfortable swimming in it. With the water resistant testing they don't actually release how water resistant it is. They don't give an up to rating. I couldn't find that information in any of the marketing, it wasn't on the box, it's not on the tube about water resistant up to, so I don't actually know how water resistant it is. I get the sense that it's not going to hold up to swimming, it's going to hold up to hiking, it's going to hold up to maybe doing some sports."

"These literally feel like they are not even on the skin, this breathable protection is only $16, I've seen it as low as $12.99 on Style Vanana, and this is so so good. If you are looking for one of the lightest weight softest touch sunscreens, why spend more on an American beauty when you could spend it on K Beauty from Purito? Don't waste your money on some expensive American sunscreens unless you're looking to splurge on yourself. If you're just looking for something great every day that you can actually afford to reapply multiple times a day, this is where it's at, and at these prices you will actually be able to afford to reapply your SPF."

"I recommend the new Purito one. This one has been tested and launched and they claim it does hold up to the SPF 50, which yes, I will be testing. Purito went the extra mile to make sure their things are tested and reformulated to be safe."

"I like this one on days where I don't want to feel too greasy. I do live in Miami so sometimes it's so humid that I do skip the moisturizer step and this one is a perfect one for me because even though it feels like a nice rich lotion because it has ingredients like ceramides in it to restore and replenish your skin and support your skin barrier, it does dry down to a more natural finish on your skin so I don't feel like I look really greasy or that I've layered on too much when I use this one."

"The sunscreen I'm going in with today is the Purito Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen. I love this one. I love their daily go-to sunscreen as well, but that's a little bit oilier, a little bit dewier. "Sunscreen always, this is my Purito Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen. I love the counterpart to this which is the Purito Daily Go-To Sunscreen but it's a much richer kind of oilier formula that gives more of a dewy finish, super moisturizing but it's not going to be for everyone. I feel like this is more of a universal texture so it gives a more skin-like or even a matte finish, and so that is kind of what I reach to in terms of sunscreen because I feel like it's more applicable to a wider range of climates. And then if I need something more moisturizing or hydrating I can just put a layer of moisturizer on underneath it."

"This one is called The Daily soft touch sunscreen, a combination of three different filters: juvenile T-150, juvenile A, and tinosorb S, covering basically the whole gamut from UVA to UVB. It also has ceramides in here, so it's great for winter and great if you have a broken skin barrier. What's fascinating about this particular one is when you apply it, it goes in and dries pretty fast. I would say this is probably one of the better ones if you have oily skin and you don't want to feel like a slick grease ball."

"This is a chemical sunscreen with a lot of the new filters and I found that this is slightly heavier than some of the Korean sunscreens I've tried. It has a little bit of pilling if I rub, and this is pretty standard what I expect for a water-resistant sunscreen because they contain a bit more film formers, but it is still really nice and light. I found that it had a slight white cast when I first applied it, I'm guessing that's from the MBBT, but it goes away after it dries down on my skin. I can definitely see why this is so popular. One interesting thing is this is water, sweat, and sand resistant, which is relatively rare for a Korean sunscreen. It has been tested and it looks like it's to Korean standards, which is less than 50% loss of SPF after 40 minutes. Now as an Australian, I wouldn't trust it for sports or for swimming; we have 4-hour water-resistant sunscreens that stay at the labelled SPF, but I think it is probably longer wearing than the lightweight Korean sunscreens that have no testing."

"This one from Purito, their Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen, is a reformulation and distinctive upgrade from their previous version. What stood out to me is I rarely come across a Korean sunscreen that is specifically for long-term outdoor exposure. Usually that kind of technology is with the Japanese and European sunscreens, specifically made to be resistant in every single way you need. So this is one of the first Korean sunscreens that has that water resistance, sweat resistance, friction resistance, seawater, sand, but also this supposedly has like a 10-hour wear. I've been in many situations where I've had to spend long hours outdoors with a lot of sun exposure and this is what I've been using. This has all that resistance without compromising on that beautiful Korean sunscreen elegance that I love so much. You know, beautiful silky texture, really hydrating and moisturizing as well. It was actually great because I was in a dry sunny climate, so this actually made my skin look really good despite that. In a hot humid climate as we move towards summer, this makes for a perfect light moisturizer. This has five different ceramides in it, it's got vitamin B5, it's got centella asiatica."

Korean Sunscreens - Review, Favs & Comparison
"The soft touch sunscreen has a slightly more mattifying effect, it's quite subtle but it's thin, soft touch is just such a comfortable sunscreen to wear. It applies beautifully, it is very weightless but also it does remove shine. There's no scent or fragrance and this is great for normal to oilier skin types for anyone who has a preference that runs towards more mattifying and shine free finishes. It uses all chemical or organic filters."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Ceramides

Ceramides are part of the skin's own barrier, and moisturisers built around them have evidence for holding water in and settling the tightness and flaking that come with a damaged barrier.

Source: DermNet

Humectants and emollients

Ingredients like these draw water into the surface layers and slow how fast it leaves. The evidence is for comfort, softness and hydration rather than for changing the structure of the skin.

Source: DermNet

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and it is often in a formula to keep the other ingredients stable rather than as the active itself. It pairs well with vitamin C, though on its own the evidence for visible change is limited.
