What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise this as a well-formulated, genuinely lightweight chemical sunscreen that sits nicely between matte and dewy, with ingredients that help calm redness and keep oil in check for those with oily or sensitive skin. The catch: it doesn't disclose filter percentages, and while it holds up to sweat and heat better than many Korean sunscreens, it's not reliable for swimming or extended water exposure, so those planning beach days may want to look elsewhere. One expert flagged slight pilling and a temporary white cast that fades, though most found it blends without fuss.

"I have Purito here. They're both SPF 50. It really makes no difference as long as it's SPF 30 which one you're using."

Skincare Issues That Keep Me Up At Night - Products That Make Me Rethink Everything I Know
"I was very suspicious of this sunscreen the whole time. Other people that I thought knew more than me vouched for it, big chemists that do YouTube videos vouched for it, wrote up the whole thing on their page about how great it was and how light it was, and I thought there's no way I know more than she does. Sadly I was right, I wish I'd been wrong. But how do we know when a brand doesn't even disclose what percentages of filters are in them? We don't. We're going by blind faith."

"When I talk about a product from them in a positive light, you know it must be really, really good. This is really, really nice. It's great for people that are looking for eye-catching packaging, and for people that like a nice natural finish to the skin. It's not too dewy. It's not too matte. It's just something in between. This is a nice formulation which blends in without any issue. It's a chemical sunscreen, so there is zero white cast. And honestly, I'd say this is more on the hydrating side than some others. There is zero scent to this. Nothing added to mask any fragrance, but also nothing too chemically about it. It's just a great allrounder. This is a great entry point product into Korean sunscreens. If you're new to K sunscreen, this would be a really great place to start."

Top Rated KOREAN SKINCARE 2025 - Worth They Hype?
"This one is a nice good skin day. It's not super matte but it's also not super dewy either, somewhere in between. I appreciate that some of the ingredients in here do help keep the skin like the levels of oil under control, so this was a great option for people that have slightly oily skin. It just helped things stay a little bit matte for a little longer, which I certainly appreciated. It looks beautiful on the skin. I like the formulation. I would genuinely say this is probably worth a four and a half star review. I like the fact that you get slightly more product than the average size, too. That's definitely a plus."

"I tried this and was like oh my gosh they're taking it up a notch even further. It's slightly less hydrating than that other one but actually even better when it comes to being super lightweight. It also has some ingredients to reduce the temperature of the skin, so if you're someone that's prone to irritation or inflammation, particularly in the summer months, this could really help. I used it in some of the really ridiculously warm weather we got here in summer in the UK, didn't have an issue at all. It lasted forever because they use new generation filters as well. You don't need to reapply this every 2 hours like you do with other sunscreens. You can reapply this every 6 hours according to the brand and you still get that SPF 50 plus protection. I used it in the ridiculously warm months here in the UK and never had a problem."

"It works really beautifully underneath makeup. I think that grippy top, I really like that for makeup because it almost like doubles as a primer, and I'm a big fan of makeup primer, so when a sunscreen can actually take the role of that it's pretty impressive. I do feel very comfortable sweating in this sunscreen and I do still feel protected with this. I do feel like this can hold up to sweat nicely. I wouldn't say I feel comfortable swimming in it because with the water resistant testing they don't actually release how water resistant it is and they don't give an up to rating. I couldn't find that information in any of the marketing. I get the sense that it's not going to hold up to swimming, but it's going to hold up to hiking and maybe some sports."

"I believe Purito is one of the brands that was affected. I feel like they reformulated and course corrected and now there doesn't seem to be issues. They were really good, they were so open with everything, they posted their results of everything."

"This is a chemical sunscreen with a lot of the new filters and I found that this is slightly heavier than some of the Korean sunscreens I've tried. It has a little bit of pilling if I rub, and this is pretty standard what I expect for a water-resistant sunscreen because they contain a bit more film formers, but it is still really nice and light. I found that it had a slight white cast when I first applied it, I'm guessing that's from the MBBT, but it goes away after it dries down on my skin. I can definitely see why this is so popular. One interesting thing is this is water, sweat and sand resistant, which is relatively rare for a Korean sunscreen. It looks like it's to Korean standards, which is less than 50% loss of SPF after 40 minutes. Now as an Australian, I wouldn't trust it for sports or for swimming. We have 4 hour water resistant sunscreens that stay at the labelled SPF, but I think it is probably longer wearing than the lightweight Korean sunscreens that have no testing."
